Day 5: Splish Splash Slush

The first morning that the kids woke up after the sun! Kind of nice to sleep in a little. After a yummy breakfast of pancakes and strawberries, we headed out to Manoa Falls.  A fun little .8, muddy, up hill, in the middle of the rainforest hike. The kids all made it up walking on their own.  T-Rex got tired and needed carrying down most of the way. Thank heavens for dad's shoulders!  T fell asleep up there too. 

Then we headed down town in search of our favorite little shaved ice place.  With a little driving and Eric's amazing ability to navigate we found it. I say if you are ever in Honolulu, Waiola's is by far the best shaved ice, it is so shaved its creamy if that makes sense.

After the hike, we did a quick change at home, removing our muddy shoes and clothes, and headed to Bubba Gumps. G-Man's new favorite restaurant. I had fish and chips, really really good fired greasy fish! So much for my weight loss before coming out here!

Then we went to the beach, where we played for a little bit, I napped quite a bit of it.

We came home, did a little swimming in the pool. And kids and adults were all asleep by 7 pm.
