My sweet little Two, who is pretty much potty trained, loves to take showers. And I am not talking its time to go to bed lets get in the shower and she says "yeah" and gets in. I am talking every time she uses the potty she takes all her clothes off and just gets in the shower. Today after her third, shower and a trip to the potty we had a conversation like this:
"Two get off the potty we have to run to school to pick up the kids."
"Me go potty. Me stinky. Me need to take a shower and wash off my smellies."
"No you don't sweety we have to run to get the kids."
"Me not have my clothes on. Me take one real quick."
"Fine hurry up."
She did take a fast one but my goodness the child is obsessed with showering and not smelling. Not sure what to do with her.
When Aly was here she even asked, "how many showers a day does she take?" Yeah she takes a lot!

There was an old lady
There was an old (well not really old) who lived in a shoe (more like a shoe box of a condo),
she had so many kids, she didn't know what to do.
She fed them some food, oh my how much they'd pooh!
Filling the house with laughter and stinky smells of doo doo.
Potty training with the others seemed to go so much faster,
with little Two, oh she, is so not the master.
While sitting in the sink, combing her short golden hair
she crapped in her last,oh her very last, clean pair.
So into the shower, the little clothed gal flew
with water hose in hand, to rinse the pooh.
Not done yet, not done yet, she complained
so left all alone this little un potty trained.
For some unknown reason she opened the shower glass door,
water, water everywhere went, she flooded the floor.
Oh this poor little old lady who lived in a shoe,
so much laundry she really does have to do.

Triumphs in the little things
After taking the kids swimming, I went into my bathroom to change out of my wet suit and into some dry clothes. I quickly sat on the potty, trying to avoid wetting on the floor. I had a small audience, T-Rex and Two. While defending the roll of toilet paper from being torn into tiny shreds by T-rex, Two started applauding me. "Yeah mommy go peepee on the potty. Good job mommy."
As I sat there, trying to hurry and worrying about T-rex destroying a roll of paper, concerned a little about having an audience, thinking a little about what I was going to fix for dinner, fretting about the small stuff in life and worrying about all I didn't accomplish today, I was reminded to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. I mean really it is a triumph to be able to sit on a toilet and go.
Sometimes I go through out the day feeling like nothing has been accomplished, but today I have seen through the eyes of a three year old that I do accomplish much. I may not get all the laundry folded, or all the beds made, but......
"Yeah Mommy go potty."

Poo Poo Happens: viewer discretion is advised!
Emily has begun the fun process of potty training. She typically gets right in my face and will say "poo poo mommy" Which translates to "mom I need to go" or if she says the same thing and turns around showing her diapered bum means she already went. So the other day she runs up to me and says "Mommy me poo poo" and doesn't flash her bum to me. I say "oh do you need to go potty?"
"No Mommy, me poo poo>" I say to her " ok go to the potty." She looks at me and takes my hand and says "no mommy me go poo poo." As I start to congratulate her, I then notice she's only sporting a shirt. The terrible thoughts run through my head of all the places she possibly had gone and how it is going to be a huge mess and I just don't feel like I am paid enough to clean up poop off the floor let alone smashed in the carpet.
I look at her, refraining from getting upset and say in my sweetest most calm voice "where did you go poo poo sweetie?"
She tugs on me and says "come mommy come mommy"
Grabbing my hand she leads me to the kitchen, yes a hard floor with no carpet, thank you sweetie thank you. She then points to the ground and shows me her present for me. Being the mom I am I had to have my camera in hand to mark this moment. I am so proud of my daughter even though she missed the toliet, even the bathroom, it wasn't in her diaper and it wasn't on the carpet...we are making progress!
