Wow my 445th post! Lots of Randomness

Well when I got ready to post I thought I uploaded the pictures in the order that I wanted them. However, now it appears my whit and ability to tie them all together may be a challenge. And since my computer is being a butt head it is difficult for me to move the pictures around. So without any further delays, my week, my 445th post in 15 pictures of less!

Little T-Rex sums up the last weekend before school! Holy Hannah it was a night mare! Blinds were ripped off the wall, a picture frame took a shattering death, mascara was unevenly applied, sink was over filled, dinner was spilled all over the floor, water was spilled, watermelon splattered, just to name a few things. Here T-rex sits in the sink, caught red handed and naughty! Actually I went to get the camera to record the nightmare of a night and put him back into the sink to get this photo! :) But did not have enough patience to photograph the rest of the mess....to say the least G-Man called Eric in a panic and told him he needed to come home...I guess I was really losing it.

But I gained enough composure Sunday to get the kids all ready for school on Monday Morning....actually Eric had the idea to dress up their dolls and stuffed animals in the outfits for the morning. They thought that was the coolest thing ever.

After blessings from their dad, they headed off to bed with some stories. And bright and early they were up and off to school! They ate breakfast, put on their new clothes and headed out the door with me behind them with my camera around my neck. However, Eric said "No way you aren't going to be one of those mom's are you?" So I decided to take my camera off as soon as I got a picture of them heading down the stairs. However we have a really old cool school and I just might have to be one of those mom's and bring the camera to school the second week. Which I will probably look even weirder than bringing it on the first day. Why do I listen to my husband???
First day of school went off with any hitches. I actually had the opportunity to go to lunch with Eric and make it home to put together a little snack and gifts and cards for the kids. Look at G-Mans face....so filled with joy! He was so thrilled that I thought of them and did something for them. I guess the weekend was really rough and they thought they had lost their mom to a wicked witch :)
While the big kids were at school on Tuesday the little ones and some friends hit the dinosaur park. Such a cool place. So much so that after school on Tuesday I took the kids there! We had a blast!

Two really likes her little friend! She wanted to me to take several pictures of her with him. He is a cutie, I don't blame her. Notice her shoes are on the wrong feet. Gotta love that girl!

This morning while trying to catch up on some blogging and photo uploading, T-Rex came and sat on my bed with me, notice he is wearing a hula skirt, and a Thomas the Train jammie shirt. He loves to dress himself and is so stinking stubborn about what he wears! Oh the blackmail pictures I have!

Speaking of pictures, do you know how hard it is to get some people to take a good picture of you with a friend you meet for the first time?? Yvonne, a wonderful fellow blogger and one of my newest dearest friends, came all the way from Canada for a visit. Well actually she was dropping her son off at BYU but still SHE came all the way up to the restaurant to visit us, dragging her sweet and kind husband with her. And they didn't even eat anything. So we packed her up some food to go. We had such an enjoyable time chatting and catching up just like old friends. If you ever want a chance to read an amazing woman's blog, check her out. I am not the first blogging friend she has met, she has touched many people's lives! Thanks Yvonne!

Check out this amazing sunset!!! I was driving home Tuesday night and had to pull over to get a shot of it. I love all those oranges and yellows and purples! Amazing beauty!

And a Barbecue plug! Tuesday night we did a back to school night at the restaurant with free hot dogs and watermelon for the kids. They had a blast and it was fun to see people coming and eating with us. When you get the chance you really should make a trip up to Texas Pride Barbecue. The scenery is amazing! And the food is awesome! Also we will be having a fall festival, every Saturday of October! Come on out! www.texaspridebarbecue.com
And have a great week....man I am worried about posting this and seeing the mess that I made!

So Corrine How many Blogs Do You Have?

I was asked that today.

And I tell you if I was a gambler....I'd be broke.

If I was a drinker....I'd be drunk

I get way too addicted to stuff and BLOGGIN is my addiction, and some of my blogs I am better on than others....but I only Have FOUR of my very own, and then two that I contribute to, but haven't been so good at lately.

Care to know what they are?

First you all know, http://www.4kidsnodog.blogspot.com/ this is my This is my family, these are my thoughts, isn't life just grand blog. You know just a mumbo jumbo of my life.

The second blog is my daily writing prompts blog....need to look up that link, this is where...I haven't been so good at that lately, I post the writings of the prompts I get from a yahoo writing group. This is where I free write for ten minutes or more and write whatever pops out of my brain with out editing. At least my computer most of the time puts squiggly red lines to let me know when I miss spell a word. SOMETIMES.

The third blog I have is my http://www.corrinescapturings.blogspot.com/ that is where I go to post most of my favorite pictures, well not even favorites because you know how hard it is to view those thumbnails and I never go in and name my photos so its hard to tell cs339 from cs553...you know what I mean. But there I am trying to post pictures that I am trying to take to help me develop my photo skills.

Then I have a new blog that I just started yesterday, a running blog log thingy. Yeah I am trying to get all healthy and stuff and starting with baby steps, well yeah really steps that is. I figure I will start with the exercise and then moderate my eating, but I can only do things one step at a time, literally. So here is that blog http://rinny.fastrunningblog.com/ and if you are a runner or walker or even swimmer you should set up a blog, and keep track, some of those people are amazing and I have already received several comments and invited to go running with some people this weekend, however they don't realize that they would find a better running partner in a fish.

So there you have it. Those are my blogs, check them out. See what I am up to.

Thanks for visiting me here, or there or anywhere.

Ok and speaking of blogs...they are doing a best mommy blog thing over at Scholastic and so if you are my friend, which you are here reading right?, you will or rather will you go and nominate me for the best mommy blog? Please??? I'd appreciate it a ton!!! Just because some days I'd like to feel special :)

What Happens While I Blog and the Kids Don't have School!

Ice gets put in a bucket, spilling ice and water all over the floor, then dumped and swept off the back patio.
(the ice dumping in the bucket caught my attention to the messes going on.)

Toys dumped all over their room as they search for the perfect thing to play with.
I mean come on isn't the TV enough for entertainment these days?
T-Rex decides Pretzels make a great dance floor or something! And since T-Rex did the mess "all by himself" I am amazed at how my little one year old climbed on top of the kitchen counter and climbed to a top shelf pulled the pretzels out , crossed the kitchen floor, carrying that whole Costco sized bag all by himself and made it with out spilling it until in front of the TV. Amazing, truly amazing.
Come on who did it?
"Not me"
So I guess T-rex is really a climber.
Baby Olympics here he comes.

Two thinks its great to help him dump the rest of the bag, I mean who wouldn't! Especially when there is a photo opp! She even stops to say "Cheese" for the picture.

G-man builds a fort behind the couches, can't really see it but the blankets connect the two couches leaving a little fort area to hide behind and dump more toys.
So who is ready to help clean up??
"It's not my fault."
"I didn't do it."
Well everyone gets to clean up no one's messes!
Care to join us??
You get to go swimming after it is all done.

I'm Flattered...me an author?!

I really truly appreciate the comments to me about me being a great writer and how I should publish a book. I'm rather shocked, surprised and flattered, so much so I fell off my chair, flipped right back onto the ground, feet in the air!

Well it has been a life long dream of mine, and when I was younger I'd sit on the curbs waiting for my mom to come get me, and think of stories in my head. (What was I doing sitting on curbs waiting for my mom... that's a whole other story but childhood friends, one word "The Villages." I also received encouraging comments from my English teachers when I applied myself to my papers. Also while student teaching my ever so encouraging student teaching supervisor said to me "maybe you should think of a career in writing instead of teaching. " I was hurt by his comment but maybe I should have listen to him. However, I don't foresee myself penning to a point where one would actually purchase my stories, but maybe that is my problem I need to see it to believe it. Though the comments have sparked in me a couple of things.

1. (have you notice I am totally into lists lately...not sure why but anyway) I am going to join the story circle and go to writing classes and seminars and get started pursuing something for myself.

2. I am going to make more written Heritage Makers' books for my family, including pictures and scrapbooking of course but include more journaling and text for their enjoyment...well probably not enjoyment but helpful memory reminders.

3. As of now... if you know of anyone could be yourself, I am going to help, well will turn your blog into an 8x8 storybook. So consider me the Blog to Books lady! Contact me for more information or send your friends my way. Take a year of blogging and turn it into a book. So it won't be my writings which you seem to love, but your own...I could make editorial comments :) haha...but anyway just sparked a little business idea for me. So let me give your blog a shot!

4. If I get 403 people to comment on this blog saying I should give writing a try, I will sit down and start a book, so if you think I should pursue a life long dream, and you think its worth a shot, tell your friends and their friends and lets see if I can get some comments here telling me to go for it...if I don't get the comments...I still will probably try it but will feel like no one likes me :( and I might have to go eat some worms.

The letter you'd send to your friends: (see I am helping you help me):

Dear Friends,

My dear (friend, sister, neighbor, daughter, well not my dear anything but some chick on a blog) needs your help in pursuing a life long dream. Your task, if you choose is simple. Please visit her blog, www.4kidsnodog.blogspot.com and read her post, "I'm Flattered...me an author?!- Jan 6, 2008" and just post a comment basically saying "go for it." That is all you have to do, you don't even have to read the blog if you so choose. But please leave a comment. Heck you can even say "dude its not worth the effort" but please take a few minutes, visit the blog and make a comment. It doesn't cost you a thing, just a tiny bit of your internet time. And if you so desire, browse her blog and read some of her posts, she is rather entertaining in my humble opinion. Have a good one.

Thanks,
(here is where you'd sign your name)

5. With the writers strike maybe I have a chance to move to Hollywood and do some screen writing...JK...but not a bad idea probably a good time to get in.
