4 KIDS NO DOG and a BABY

4 KIDS NO DOG and a BABY

First Days

Two went to kindergarten today...can't believe I have 3 school age children, time is going fast.  Two woke up so excited today. She got ready and we took them all to school after yummy eggs for breakfast.

Today is also Eric's first day of work on Oahu, well not totally but he orginally was asked to do some work for the island of Maui, helping manage their elections. Due to a three alarm fire in Houston, many of the Hart employees were pulled from the Hawaii project.  They called us Friday evening and asked if Eric would be willing to fill a bigger role in the project, basically doing now what he did in 2008 plus the Maui operations till they find someone to replace him.  It means he won't be coming home but for about 4 days til mid-end of november and I won't be going in October like planned because he will be a lot busier.

Its is kind of funny how things work out.  Two weeks ago, not quite.  Greg approached Eric about buying his partnership out, basically paying us what we invested in to it.  It has been bittersweet for Eric because of the amount of time and effort he put into the restaurant and business. We had fun, great employees and it was always fun to see people we knew come visit. Eric is grateful for the opportunity to help his life long friend start and establish his dream of a restaurant.  Their family will be moving next door to the restaurant and I think it will make it easier for them to manage the restaurant and spend time with their family and truly make it a family business. We wish them all the best of luck and y'all know where you can get some amazing bbq in a fun beautiful setting!

But with Eric not having to worry about the business here, he can now focus his energy on the next big project that seemed to just land in his lap, shortly after the decision to disolve his part of the restaurant. Its funny how things "just happen."  And with the way things have been the last year and a half, I don't think it will be as hard to have Eric in Hawaii for so long....not sure how I will do church but things seem to happen and work out for a reason. I will get back to you on that in a few days!

The bonus though is I do get a trip to Maui sometime in Novemeber....a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am grateful for the experiences we have had and for the many things I have learned.

Excited for you guys. Sounds like things are good for you guys right now besides not seeing Eric so much, but you were used to that right (not that you liked it)? Your kids look so cute for school. Hard to believe we have 3 in school.

The kids' back-to school pictures are so cute and happy!

I'm glad things are working out so well, with your hubby being able to sell his part of the business and getting work in Hawaii again. I hope November gets here quickly for you! :)
