Cleaning out Files

My body has left me home from work, sick in bed with a laptop and digital pictures to hang out with.   It hasn't been too bad of  a day minus, the many trips to the restroom.  My parents took the girls and the boys and I have just been hanging out.  It has been nice.

Eric took G-Man to get a much needed haircut this morning. This is a picture of him earlier this month. His bangs were in his eyes this morning.

I must say though, I am a MEAN MEAN HORRIBLE NO GOOD VERY BAD MOM.......not because I let him go several months with out a cut, or a brush most days, but because I laughed so hard when he came in.  Not sure what they stylist was thinking but he gave him more of a bowl cut.  With my advanced degree in haircutting, OK I watched the video when I got my clippers, I trimmed him up a little more, making his bush look more like a boy hair cut rather than a Dorothy Hammel Cut...He is much happier and now has stopped crying and said he will go to school now.
This is taken after I fixed it!

I am not normally so mean with laughing at my children, but it really was bad and he had every reason to cry and I should of been more loving, but glad he let me kind of fix it up.  I tried to take the roundness out of his bangs. And the fullness off his back.  He is a darling little boy. And so glad he let me cut his hair, but a friend just stopped by and said....LAUGHING...."you got your hair cut!"  hope he doesn't change his minde about going to school and being teased.  Though I assured him that it was more shoking to see his handsome face than anything.  He then said "well after we played he didn't say anything more about my hair, I guess people will just get used to it, like he did."   Yes they will and you do look handsome!

T-Rex, I must say is a much happier boy with out his sisters around, well besides the fact that he is crying right now, but he has just been playing and doing his own thing.  Granted he did take the girls dolls, and bring them to me in bed to babysit, while he drove his train to "mcdonalds" to get me some fries and a coke.  He has also enjoyed pushing around a stroller with out someone taking it from him.

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking the girls.

And while my insides have been flushing themselves clean, I have been downloading and organizing all my pictures....

Its hard to believe this was a year ago....my birthday!
And here I am this month.....
And look at little T-Rex....last year
And here he is today:....

Time sure is flying!   Here I am with G-Man last year at this time too...

Foot Stomping good time!

In order to get the attention of my children down in the basement, I stomp my foot four times.  Usually they come quickly running up, with a "Yes Mom what do you need.?",  Really they do.

Well today, and actually last week, Eric asked T-Rex to go get his brother and sisters for dinner.  T-Rex said "Yesh"  and then with his tiny little leg stomps four time all the while shouting "Dinner."

Eric and I just laughed at him. I guess he is paying attention.

Its Potty Time My Little Peeping Toms

Walking down the aisle, reaching for the last few items, I tried to talk my body into "waiting" until we get home. "I can hold it...I live five minutes away. I only have a few more items to get....I can wait" I kept telling myself as I pushed my shopping cart with Two running, rather being dragged by me through the store.

"No I can not wait." I said to no one in particular. "Lets go Two!" I make her run.

I shoved the cart by the door, grabbed T- Rex from the seat and headed for the handicap stall. Holding T-Rex in one hand and trying to unbutton my pants, and getting Two to come in the stall with me was a little challenging.

I sat down still holding T-Rex. I was just glad to have made it to the bathroom. Then Two plops on the floor and peers under the stall.

"Mommy there's a lady in there."

"I know. Get up off the floor. Stop looking under the stall"

I reached over to pull her back, trying to keep my bare bum on the seat and balanced with T-Rex still in hand. She stands up. Then loud and proud said, "Mom why are you pooping. Its stinky. Why does pooh stink so much?"

And before I can answer she pops back down, with T-rex with her.

"Mom she is pulling up her pants."

"Two get up!...T-Rex...stop...get...over here" I ordered as he slipped further under the stall...

"I am sorry."....to which I got no response. I sat and was hoping she was done, considering the update Two gave me.

"Flush" ..... Flush, Flush.... Two found the little black button on the back of the toilet. Now that my back side is sufficiently wet, I hold both of my kids by their waist bands.

Two and T-Rex are under my control for a few seconds...plop! Back on the ground they went.

"She is still sitting!"

"Two!!! I am so sorry!!!!"

I hurriedly finish up thinking "I will beat her out of the stalls to the sink!"

Hoping to not have to face our poor bathroom victim, off we go to wash our hands. We were almost in the clear, drying our hands when out she came. I quickly dry their hands and apologize again, when the bathroom door opens, and in walks a mullet haired, baggy red U of U shirt, over stuffed jeaned woman.

"Mom, Mom....why is there a man in here?"

Oh my goodness can I just ignore that comment??

"No Sweetie that's a woman."

I grabbed my kids and headed out of the bathroom as I left the words..."I am sorry."

Relationships

As I was in the bathroom doing my morning business of showering, my kids were off doing who knows what. Rinsing my hair, I startled to a little hand opening up the curtain. Standing behind the beige plastic was T-Rex all covered from head to toe in water colors. It appeared he ate more than he painted.

He held up a paper with small markings and drawings at the very bottom, pointed to his work and said "Temple."

"Did you paint a temple?"

"yeshhh!" Pointing at his picture again he said "Temple."

"It is beautiful T, I love it." I do love it and am amazed that one of his favorite and new words is temple.

For those of you unfamiliar with my faith, we attend church meeting houses on Sunday, for our regular meetings and Sunday School and such. All are welcome to come and participate. Our temples are the more stunning and beautiful buildings you will see around. These buildings are sacred, and many wonderful ordinances are performed one of which is sealings, marriages that are sealed here on earth and extend through the eternities. Our marriage doesn't end at death. I am grateful for my eternal family and they truly are a blessing in my life.

I truly have been blessed not only with great parents and siblings but wonderful children. They make me laugh.

I normally don't use my children's names but my youngest daughter gets called all the time by her big sisters name. Always. I know this because when I call her by the wrong name she quickly looks at me and says "you mean Emily?"

"Yes I mean Emily" At least she knows her name.

Today at church I sat and pondered my life. And how lately I have been under a great deal of stress and depression. I get sad. I am happy. I laugh. I cry. I laugh some more. Those who know me in person, you could probably say my laugh is like a period at the end of all my statements. I'd like to consider myself a happy person.

I don't know why I am going through this depression, it has been hard. I truly know that all that is going on is for a reason, and sometime, hopefully soon, it will end like all life's trials, that are replaced by another one, hopefully one that I can handle better, and soon.

I use the word hope because I do have hope and Faith in my Heavenly Father, that this time in my life will be one I will look back on, and know I learned and grew a lot.

Days may be long but years are short. Life goes to0 fast. And I don't want to look back on this stage in my life as one where I spent too much time worrying. Kind of like how I spent my teen and young adult years worrying to0 much that I was fat, when in all reality I was not! What wasted years, because now its just killing me to get back to my "fat" days of youth. But I don't focus on it anymore, (well not as much) because it is a waste of time and energy.

Looking back on that, it sure has taught me to be happy with the moment. Enjoy life. It really is short. We are here to experience and learn and grow and to have joy.

I take the bitter to enjoy the sweet. I will take the tears to really enjoy the laughter.

My oldest daughter and I recently were sitting on the kitchen floor, I think it was ten o'clock at night, and we took out a gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream and two spoons and sat and talked. We laughed. We ate. She looked up at me and said "Mom, when I am a mom like you, I am going to tell my daughter, how we sat on the floor at night and just talked and ate ice cream. She will think that is really great." I do hope she remembers that...and I think I need to do that more often.

And it is moments like that, that we live for. The quiet moments when we can sit with our loved ones, and not really worry about anything else and just enjoy life. Because what it all boils down to, is our relationships and those around us. I don't think they will remember how clean the house was growing up, though they remember more me yelling and getting frustrated when it wasn't clean. They aren't going to remember the outfits they wore (well other than looking in pictures) but will remember the trips to the lake, the zoo, or visiting family.

In the end, its people that matter the most. It is the relationships that we develop that help us become better people.

So in the mist of my struggles, who am I going to help? Because it boils down to that, who around us can we help?

Happy Birthday T-REX

I feel a little guilty because of in all my haze of life, I never posted anything about Two and G-Man they both celebrated major birthdays in April and May and I am so glad to have them in our family and in my life.

Today is T-Rex's second birthday! I feel like he is our little miracle child and baby. He had a rough start and well so did I with him :) but he is here and healthy and such an active smart little guy! He is always waving and saying Hi to people as they pass by and loves trains and always says "Choo Choo" when he hears or sees one! He is slowly starting to talk and one of his clearer words is Chocolate, a boy after my heart.

Love you T-Rex!!

April Showers bring May Flowers...

At least that is how the saying goes right? I really feel like that is true for my life, though it would have to go more like January and February storms and March and Aprils showers bring forth May Flowers...or something like that.

The last few months have been busy, hectic and a little tumultuous to say the least, with moving several times, several hospital incidents, job insecurity, financial instability, emotional down turns, yeah I'd say it was pretty stormy in my life lately. I know some have had it and have it worse than I do, and I am grateful for all that I have, but it still doesn't make the last few months easy on me.

However during these past few months, where I think I lay hidden in shelter from the storms, not even venturing out much to check email or blog, many wonderful flowers have sprung from my experiences, or rather during my experiences.

And because it is almost two in the morning I won't write much but will share some fun pictures that showcase the flowers of my new season of life....does that make sense?? I am tired so with out further adieu....ok not sure that is a correct phrase either......man I am tired...so my few months in photos!! About time!!
G-Man turned 8! What a major mile stone for him. He was baptized, and we are so proud of the boy he has become. He also started scouting and took second place in his first pinewood derby, and he made his car all by himself. Such a great kid!!!

Two, who I think just really needs a new nickname turned four!! I can't believe she is four years old. We love having her and she has the biggest smile that warms up any room she is in. She also today had a bad accident, milk that had been in the microwave for 2.37 minutes spilled all down the front of her. She has a few blisters and a red streak from chin to bottom of naval but is doing well for the most part, thank HEAVENS!!!

Bee our little Beauty has graduated from Kindergarten!!! It is so hard to believe that she will be going into first grade. Where does the time go?!!!

We moved!!! After living in,what has it been, four places since December, we are finally settled in a cute little bungalow close to the restaurant. It was like Christmas opening all our boxes and such that have been in storage for over a year!

T-Rex despite several hopsital stays and what turns out to be not so great lungs has lived to turn Two on Friday, I find that to just be an amazing blessing and miracle considering how active the little guy is...isn't he just the cutest?!

Eric and his Best Friend Greg are realizing their dream and opening up their own BBQ restaurant in Huntsville, Utah, come out and visit us! Starting tomorrow...umm today they will be open! We are so excited and nervous all at the same time.

Chinese Food Anyone?

Yesterday I went to the doctor...and in case you are wondering I had the lump checked about a month ago, and was scheduled for a sonogram to check it, however in the mean time I was able to pop it....guess it was a large cyst...good thing :) anyway so I went for a follow up and after which called home to see if we needed anything from the store while we I was out.

Eric said that Bee wanted Chinese food, and giggled.

I wasn't sure what was so funny about Chinese food so I asked him what the story was behind that.

While Eric, Bee and Two were sitting on the couch Bee told him "I want Chinese food for dinner."

Two looking extremely shocked, reached down, touched her bottom and said "Food for my china??"

And speaking of food, looks like we are going ahead with the restaurant, in Huntsville, Ut. Eric is up there testing the kitchen today, among other things. So if you are in Utah, either visiting or living, head up our way for some tasty Texas Style BBQ!!

We need to find a place to live, and well not sure how we are going to do it seeing we have only a few dollars to our name....oh well it will all work out!

Last night with our Chinese food we had fortune cookies and all our fortunes lead me to believe that the rocky road we have been traveling on will smooth out!

And T-Rex is doing much better thanks for asking, I mean according to his fortune he has a romantic encounter to soon happen :)

T-Rex at it again!

Little T-Rex, my 22 month old has been hospitalized. You may be thinking to yourself, deja vu? Yes the little guy went a month ago for two days and well he did his fancy hold his breathe, struggling to breath thing again.

He really scared me tonight. He started coughing Sunday night and couldn't sleep. We put him in our bed. Then last night he coughed and cried after being a sleep for a bit, and he joined us again. My sweet Two woke up crying so I went and fell asleep with her, to only be awoken by the most horrific coughing choking fit. It was a muffled not good sound, so I rushed to the bathroom.

I looked at Eric, who had brought T to the bathroom, because he was vomiting/coughing/choking. He set him down on the floor for a minute, and T-Rex just collapsed, and I could see his skin being sucked between his ribs as he tried to breath. I teetered between calling 911 and throwing him in the car.

We decided to just take him. Eric is there with T-Rex and who knows how long we will stay this time. He arrived at the hospital and his oxygen level was 79, had a fever, full lungs(pneumonia again) and to top it off---an ear infection.

Again I am home, not able to sleep, and too early to really call anyone.

March 25, 2009

Just when you come up for air....

a big ol' hand reaches and pushes your head back under the water....or so it feels like it.

Its a little after three am, and my husband is at the ER with our little T-REX. He spiked a fever a few days ago, Sunday night, and then when we took him in to the doctor Monday, he had bronchitis and pneumonia, with no other signs, coughing, running nose...nothing...other than well the little weasing...minor detail right....anyway we were surprised more or less.

Today his breathing became more shallow and wheezy and more coughing....coughing is good isn't it? But tonight, as I slept next to him, he began coughing and coughing and coughing followed by very rapid shallow breathing. So hear I sit typing, worrying about how the little guy is doing, while his dad drives to the ER in the snow and probably on very icy roads.

I can't sleep. I probably should have gone with him. I should try sleeping. I do have to work tomorrow.

I started last week working in an Autistic preschool at a near by elementary school. I really like it. I think they like me, because they have asked me to sub all week. I am suppose to only work Thursday and Friday. I enjoy the opportunity to make some money.

Eric is finding out how fun it is to stay home with four kids. Do I feel bad for him? Not at all, sorry sweetie....ok maybe a little since I know how tough it can be. I just hear his little sob....I mean...um just stories about the day....like "t-rex unrolled a whole roll of toilet paper, and while I was cleaning that up, Bee climbed on top of the fridge and got out that very bright red nail polish you bought yesterday and painted herself, her clothes and the kitchen floor. And after we cleaned that up Two pooped her pants...." I just smile, nod and say "I'm sorry" and really I am thinking...."you see what my days are like...and throw in doing four loads of laundry, making calls and (actually I don't really ever make calls just sounded good in my head) loaded and un loaded the dishwasher, and......well you know"

Anyway I am grateful that he is willing to watch the kids and attempt to look for a job during the chaos of tending children. I love you Eric THANK YOU!!

Anyone want to earn a few extra dollars watching two kids in the afternoons, for a couple of hours???

Well I best get some sleep, even though that isn't likely all things considering. I know it will be ok....because I wrote about it and let it out in the air....its just going to be a fun little night spending ER trip.....where is T-Rex's birth certificate so we can get him on MEDICAID???

On the 12th day of Christmas...

my true love stopped giving me gifts!

Ha ha! Not really, but I just don't know if I can think of things up in numbers after twelve. So I am just going to list things, gifts of life that I am grateful for, the true gifts of the holidays.

So on the 12th day my true love gave to me,

C h r i s t m a s L i g h t s!

Being in the tropics, it doesn't feel much like Christmas! Moving in a few days, and no tree, no gifts yet, make it not really feel like Christmas at all! I have been kind of wishin' my kids didn't know about the holiday this year, cuz I would be so tempted to not to do anything.

HOWEVER!!!!

... last night, in one of the heaviest rain storms we have had on the island, my little family and I walked through the puddles and looked at the lights down town.

It was gorgeous.
It was wet!!!
and it was FUN!
And now I have the Christmas bug and am excited.

Now if presents for the kids would JUST fall into my lap.

Side note, happy 1/2 birthday T-REX!!!
Isn't the little monster so cute?!!

December 04, 2008

On the Fourth Day Of Christmas....

So, I am just on day four and I am having a hard time finding something of four that I am grateful for....my first thought was...

On the 4th day of Christmas my true love gave to me...
FOUR hours of sleep!...Yeah not a lot and yes it was a miserable night.

You know one of those nights, you get everyone in bed, you straighten up a bit. Then you check some email, catch up with your DVR and then think I need to get to bed, kind of night. And then the second you log off your computer, turn off the TV the baby starts screaming.

So I think to myself, I will just brush my teeth and he will stop. And he doesn't. So instead of waking up the whole house at 10:45 I decided to go for a walk. After about an hour I decided to come back home, actually ran into some neighbors and talked for a bit, I came back inside with a screaming child.

I did what I could to try to get him to go back to sleep. Then I passed him off to the hubby. Who T-Rex wanted nothing to do with. After a few tosses back and forth he finally left with his dad to watch the Lifetime Movie Network! Things got a little quiet. I snoozed a little. Then the little guy came running in screaming!! Anyway at some point I fell asleep. At some point he fell asleep.

And all said and done, I got four hours asleep. Better than none! (I took T-Rex to the doctor, no ear infections, but a sinus infection, so poor baby.)

And then I thought what kind of Gift is just four hours of sleep.

Then the thought occurred to me:

On the Fourth Day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
Four healthy beautiful babies!

Yes that is it! Four Beautiful Healthy Babes!

I love my kids. I have my moments of frustration, some days more than others. But I am so grateful I have these wonderful little kids.

G-Man: He is so compassionate and sensitive to others feelings. Sad, funny and true story. Today Two went to work with her dad. After school, the three other kids and I were in the elevator.

I looked around and said "Oh my goodness, we are missing one."

G-Man "Missing one..what?...TWO??? Where is she?"

Me: "Oh my goodness, I must have left her at the store."

G-Man with tears in his eyes and true sadness in his voice "Oh Mom we have to go back! Quick."

I was getting all teared up and sad even though I knew where she was...and then I apologized to him for teasing him. I had know idea how upset he would become.

He is also very smart and has developed a keen ability for art.

Bee: oh she is quite the observer. Often she will just sit and stare and watch people. She notices things and on top of it she remembers it. She when she wants to can be very helpful and sweet. And some how she always gets me to take her on my girls night out. She is a fun little buddy for me. She is imaginative and loves to just talk on her phone....to no one.

Two: She is so happy and friendly. It is hard for her not to have a smile on her face. She is three and has developed that ever so contrary personality of typical three year olds, but she sure is fun. We have a great time hanging out during the day. She loves to get away with things by say "but mom me love you!"

Then there is T-Rex, he is so busy and active and so gosh darn cute. He is a climber! I spend most of the day getting him off of counters. He is easy going but has learned the great trick of squatting on the floor when someone tries to pick him up. Though he is slow on his speech, he understands so much. Like if someone in the next room says "let's go swimming," he will show up with swim suit in hand.

So there you have it.

Four Beautiful Healthy Kids! I am so lucky.

It's so cool, It's Hot!

Every Who down in Hawaiiville, likes to go swimming.
But even in this town, where sometimes its hot,
once you are sopping wet,
the wind blows chilly.
Wrapping up in a wet towel, that a brother once used,
doesn't always bring the warmth, but lips that look bruised.

Imagine my surprise, when in the mail came this fleece.
Warm, snuggly, soft, comfy made to warm a snow child.
Not sure what to do with bunting for my 17 month aloha babe.
It says for 12 months, a winter garb, in summer land?
What was a Who Mom to do?
Then the thought hit me hard.
Quick as a brick.
This bunting would be great for our nice nightly dips.

So until this Who family gets on a little plane
to a land with temperatures colder, less than ours so mundane,
where this wonderful suit will be used for its great intentions,
A swim cover up this little darling thing will now come to being!

Now the youngest blue lipped Who when getting out of the pool,
will have his own snuggly, to dry and keep away the cool,
no longer sharing a wet damp towel, his very own he will have.
And as he sits well wrapped in his stroller, from pool to home cave,
for just a few more weeks,
he will dream of the day
when he will hear his mother say,
come quickly little one, its cold outside.
If you want to go play
put on this cute bunting, and out we will go.

So if you are looking for something,
that will fit over your little who's clothing,
it's not too hot, and it is so super cool,
check out Bumkins and see their cute collection.
I am sure you will find,
something to your liking!
And even better yet you will receive a gift too!

Bumkins Grinchmas Gift and Contest! With any Bumkins Dr. Seuss Purchase receive Free Grinch Superbib and automatically be entered to win a four pack of Dr.Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas Ornaments! Just enter grinch08 at checkout to receive your complimentary bib.

This bib is super cute, and though your child won't be messy, can't guarantee that your child won't make a mess! :)

But doesn't he look so cute in this Grinch bib, just in time for the Holidays!! Great bib as well.

And just so you know, this is my first time as a reviewer for Mom's Blogger Club, and hopefully it's not my last! I really love this fleece bunting, it reminds me of a nice fleece sweatshirt/jacket I wear during the winter that keeps me just right and warm. And I give it Two Bloggerhoodie Thumbs Ups!

You're Fired Friday!

If I was working a paid job, I'd be fired today! That's right "You're Fired"! I really stink at my job. I guess totally isn't true but yeah I stink at this mothering/housewife job, I decided to take seven plus years ago. I have done my time. I wish I could file for unemployment, too bad the USA doesn't see this as a "real" job.

So as I was trying to pack away some stuff in our kitchen, actually the 20 lbs of ceramic items I made at my Wednesday night class, the kids, just Two and T-rex, decided to clean out cupboards and drawers because as Two said "Me go back to Exas today." Thus resulting in this.
Before I had a chance to mention we still have a month left. She went on to sort shoes and T-Rex decided some of them needed to be washed. Ok so not failing too bad right now, at least they are trying to help me here as my personal assistants. Though as a house cleaner, I have been fired.
Did I mention that my house was clean on Wednesday night, and somehow I woke up to it looking like this? I am so fired as a maid.
And then while I was looking through something, I think the cupboards I found this homework sheet of Bee's--Can't read it? It says "3rd copy, No progress! Please work with her AND return this paper daily!" I don't think I ever saw this paper, and luckily this morning I sent the "second" copy to school with her and we practiced it, and she got them all right. So I fail at encouraging studying at home, I mean my goodness 8 hours of kindergarten isn't enough? So I am fired as after school tutor.
And as if my kids haven't gotten into enough this morning, I failed to feed them. Oh yeah my job as a chef...I'm fired. At least T-rex is resourceful enough to feed himself. Not to mention make sure the table and chairs and floor are fed as well.

Anyone looking to hire, a not so clean, unorganized, uneducating, non culinary Lady?

Wordless Wednesday: A Day in the Life of T-Rex

(Yes this was one day, and less than an hour, this little boy sure is busy!)

Pictures of me and kids??

One of my friends from Austin came into town to help her grandmother in a singing competition. And yesterday she had some free time, and so the kids and I "kidnapped" her all day, taking her around the north shore, passing by BYU and the temple grounds (so beautiful there), we hit the Dole Plantation for some really yummy Dole Whip and then we headed to Teddy's Bigger Burger for yes some of the best gosh darn big burgers. After the older kids got home we hit the beach. Jennifer was so wonderful and took pictures of me and the kids, something that rarely happens, since I am always behind the camera. And after seeing me in the photos I know why I hide. But besides my dislike of seeing me the pictures turned out really cute, if I do say so myself.

Jennifer thanks for taking these and thanks for hanging out with us. It was a lot of fun to get reacquainted after so many years. We made her go back to our house and have dinner and go swimming in the pool, well more like sitting in the hot tub and saving little T-Rex from jumping into the dark cold well not that cold pool.

Mother of the Year Award goes to...

ME! I get the mother of the year award. You may ask yourself, how does this dysfunctional mother of four, who has a muddy t-shirt, ripped shorts and uncombed hair get the award. I will tell you. It isn't easy, and I wouldn't get it, if it weren't for my four young kids.

I am not receiving this award because of the fun activities I do with my kids, or for the many books I read to them. Or even the fact that I attempt to feed them healthy, well yeah most of the time. I bathe them, and take them to different activities. I have enriched their lives with friends and love. None of these things can compare to what earns me the award tonight.

Lets back track to Friday night. Kids went trick or treating and got way too many treats. With just two I feel I had a lot more control over the candy. Well with four, and all running in different directions, sometimes I can't catch them all nor keep track of where the candy is going, I know not a trait of an award winning mom.

So when T-Rex would come to me with a wrapped, chewed piece of candy I wasn't surprised. I just took it out of his mouth and threw it away. I have been wary about the fact that he is putting plastic wrappers in his mouth. A huge choking hazard, I know and should be more careful, well I thought I was.

Well tonight we had some friends over for a brief moment. There was chaos to say the least, and candy being taken out from the high "hiding" places. I was showing my friend something on line and her husband was in with the kids, when I was informed that T-Rex had swallowed, or rather chewed and swallowed a whole Hershey Kiss, wrapper and all. He, my friend's husband, commented that he should be fine but don't be surprised to find a wrapper in his diaper. What a foreshadowing moment.

So they leave, we have dinner and I put Two and T-Rex in the shower. I grabbed their jammies, when Two started yelling "T pooped in shower." Followed by G-Man laughing "there are a ton of wrappers in there. T pooped wrappers."

I thought you got to be kidding me. I come back to the shower and low and behold there was a shower with several plastic wrappers and BM. I just laughed. And realized if this doesn't win me an award I don't know what else will.

And for your viewing pleasure, the evidence. After I rinsed a little bit, not fun to clean up. Man T-Rex two in one day!

Cock-a-doo-da-poo!

Why is it that the morning when you just fell asleep, having some crazy dream, because you are finally asleep, the rooster crows! Yeah right not around here, we like to wake up actually before the sun does so we don't even hear the roosters over our morning noise, usually consisting of some fighting over the sounds of TV.

But this morning, I was awoken by the bright lights of my over head light, and the sweet sounds of my Two saying "It's morning time. Mom wake up." I bolted up thinking, "It is probably seven thirty and I have to get the kids off to school, yeah I got 3 1/2 hours of sleep!!" As I rubbed the sleep from my eyes I looked at the clock "4:45". No it isn't time to wake up. "Two get in bed with Mommy. It isn't time to wake up."

"Daddy not here. Time to wake up." Followed by tears and gnashing of teeth.

"Just lie down next to mommy." As she cries she climbs in bed with me, curls up next to me with her outfit picked out for the day on. We fall asleep.

In the dark of the morning still, I hear cries from T-Rex. As I rub my eyes and look at the clock I figure a little before six is an ok time for him to wake up. I go dragging my feet, in to his dark cave of a room, open the door and am hit by the smell "Oh Crap, why did he have to poop so early in the morning?" I ask myself, because instead of having him curl in bed with me I am going to have to change him.

I reach in blindness to pull him out of the crib. He grabs my arms and I hoist him up, and then I feel that little bare bum on my arms. Crap! I flick on the light, and blink, blink, blink to see. Yep the dirty diaper lay next to a pile of more pooh on his sheets. And the only thing I can think is "You fed the baby chili? You never feed a baby chili."

Six things You Never Knew about me And Always wanted to know!

My sister Alyson, tagged me like several million years ago, and then someone else tagged me right around that time, and I believe some one else, and here I sit today and decided to finally do the tag because I'd rather write than make deviled egg salad for my kids. Kind of fun listening to them in the kitchen...think I am going to regret this decision in a bit....ok be right back you won't even notice I am gone, I promise.

See you didn't miss me did you :)

So on to the Six Things You Never Knew About Me, Six Random Facts, Six things that will help you sleep better at night knowing, well maybe not quite:
  1. My favorite color is yellow and blue which makes green. And I know it should say my favorite colors are...but I prefer sometimes to write in improper grammar for the heck of it. Yeah so which is the random fact here?
  2. My Mom is the third child, I am the third child, Eric is the third child, Two is our third child and I wanted to name her Tracy (tres three in spanish) but Eric said we couldn't because Tracy is sometimes a boy name....I was like whatever but we decided on naming her after the Labor and Delivery nurse. (so is that more of a random fact about Two than me?)
  3. I have never read Harry Potter books, not because I really didn't want to but more because I love the "OH my Gosh!" factor when people hear I haven't read them. I also have had no desire to read them, and even less when people tell me I should. Probably a little of my rebellious side shining through. Maybe one day I will read them.
  4. I like to look at people, watch them and make up stories in my head about them. For instance I see a guy driving- kind of in a hurry and imagine he just got a call from his wife saying she just has had it and needs him to come home so she can go out and get her nails and hair done. So he is quickly trying to come to her rescue....maybe that's just a little fantasy of mine.
  5. As a small child, I collected snails and slugs in buckets and pulled them around in the wagon. I'd leave them in the buckets over night and be so sad in the morning because the only ones left were the ones that got smooshed in the bottom by their friends trying to escape (or by me, pushing them down and in the bucket to fill it with more....we had a lot of snails). Then I'd make graves for the ones that didn't make it out.
  6. I am an imperfect impatient perfectionist. I often don't do things because I know I can't do them perfectly in the amount of time I have to do it, so I don't. And if I try to do something, and am in a hurry I rush and then try not to care. It really is a crazy personality trait, and doesn't make much sense.

**Side note: T-Rex is in trouble!!! He just threw my camera in the phone! not the phone the Toilet! I am tired and I have been up since 4 AM and my parents are coming to town tomorrow, and we have no groceries...though The house is mostly clean but we still have a day to destroy it again. So we are headed to the beach this morning while Eric works.

Monday Mumblings: Cursed be my thoughts

Cursed Thought Number 1:

--So glad T-rex doesn't open doors...yeah you all heard about that one the other day, the next day he figured that one out....man that little boy is inquisitive! Gotta love him

Cursed Thought Number 2:

--While watching LMN (lifetime movie network--yes it is my little guilty pleasure every once in a while) a lady was calling a friend on a pay phone...A PAY PHONE what the heck?? Yeah they used those back in the late eighties early nineties before cell phones..but anyway she was dialing her sister on the phone...and I thought wow she knows her sister's phone number, I don't I just press: HER NAME and it calls her....sure would hate to lose my cell phone because I'd lose everyone's number.....

Guess what happened..T-rex threw it in the toilet, and now is totally dead. Been dead for three days, don't think it is coming back to life. So if you thought I knew your number cuz I called you "all the time" well I don't and don't have it anymore..so maybe you could send it my way?

Cursed Thought #3

Life is going pretty good.

UGGGHHH we have two months left here in Hawaii and we have no idea what we will be doing, where we will be living and I think it is starting to freak me out!

My Life as I know it is....

OVER!

Over! I say...

T-Rex has learned to open doors!! Do you know what that means??? oh the toilet paper he can un roll, the messes he can get into....

and he has discovered the fun of coming into the office, pulling keys off the laptop and some how getting to disney.com to play some games....well he doesn't really play games but he sure knows how to push buttons and navigate around fairly well.

He now is mad at me because I stole "his" computer from him...OH MY!

Off to go buy him is own laptop so he can learn to start hacking or something...
