a big ol' hand reaches and pushes your head back under the water....or so it feels like it.
Its a little after three am, and my husband is at the ER with our little T-REX. He spiked a fever a few days ago, Sunday night, and then when we took him in to the doctor Monday, he had bronchitis and pneumonia, with no other signs, coughing, running nose...nothing...other than well the little weasing...minor detail right....anyway we were surprised more or less.
Today his breathing became more shallow and wheezy and more coughing....coughing is good isn't it? But tonight, as I slept next to him, he began coughing and coughing and coughing followed by very rapid shallow breathing. So hear I sit typing, worrying about how the little guy is doing, while his dad drives to the ER in the snow and probably on very icy roads.
I can't sleep. I probably should have gone with him. I should try sleeping. I do have to work tomorrow.
I started last week working in an Autistic preschool at a near by elementary school. I really like it. I think they like me, because they have asked me to sub all week. I am suppose to only work Thursday and Friday. I enjoy the opportunity to make some money.
Eric is finding out how fun it is to stay home with four kids. Do I feel bad for him? Not at all, sorry sweetie....ok maybe a little since I know how tough it can be. I just hear his little sob....I mean...um just stories about the day....like "t-rex unrolled a whole roll of toilet paper, and while I was cleaning that up, Bee climbed on top of the fridge and got out that very bright red nail polish you bought yesterday and painted herself, her clothes and the kitchen floor. And after we cleaned that up Two pooped her pants...." I just smile, nod and say "I'm sorry" and really I am thinking...."you see what my days are like...and throw in doing four loads of laundry, making calls and (actually I don't really ever make calls just sounded good in my head) loaded and un loaded the dishwasher, and......well you know"
Anyway I am grateful that he is willing to watch the kids and attempt to look for a job during the chaos of tending children. I love you Eric THANK YOU!!
Anyone want to earn a few extra dollars watching two kids in the afternoons, for a couple of hours???
Well I best get some sleep, even though that isn't likely all things considering. I know it will be ok....because I wrote about it and let it out in the air....its just going to be a fun little night spending ER trip.....where is T-Rex's birth certificate so we can get him on MEDICAID???
The every changing, forever learning, mom of five children and one husband, sharing life's every day moments.

On the Eighth day of Christmas
My true love gave to me ERIC....ok so that isn't eight things, but today is the 8th, and his birthday! And so I will post eight things I love about my Eric, mingled with some things we have done recently!
- Eric makes me laugh! He is always doing silly things and we can sit together and laugh for hours. And yes sometimes I think he is "so immature" but that's Okay, I still laugh!
- Eric loves adventures. Like today we went scuba diving!! Swam with sharks!! The boat was not quite circled but kind of with a school of about 200 dolphins..too bad I don't have that really cool camera, and that they all dive down too stinking fast... It was so awesome, I so didn't want to go and am so glad I did.
- He is always willing to do anything. Kind of goes with adventures, but if we are sitting around and I say hey lets go hike to the top of whatever (as if I say lets hike much but anyway all I could think of) he is always like "Yes lets go do it." For example back when we were free with only two kids (yeah when you have enough arms to each take a child, it feels care free), it was Memorial Day, and I said to him at 7 in the morning, lets drive to Florida for the week and visit my parents. He said "if you pack the car, I'll go." So I packed the car, we had friends over for our scheduled BBQ and left and drove through the night. Surprising my parents, by calling them and telling them to check the front porch for a package we sent! It was awesome.
- Speaking of surprises, Eric likes to plan little surprises for me. He will schedule a babysitter and just take me away. I love that.
- He is an awesome planner! I think he should open up a tour guiding/ travel planning company here in Hawaii and then we would never have to leave and we'd all be so happy...and poor! But that is ok, though he would be so awesome at doing that.
- He remembers things about people that most people don't remember. For example if you mention once sometime in passing that Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is your favorite, then he will just one night bring you home some mint chocolate chip ice cream. If you like yellow roses or you really want a cool coral colored shirt, he will just show up with it one day.
- He is always willing to take all four kids away for the day so I can stay home and clean (if I knew how to slash out words I would have put blog and check email cross it out and put clean....but I don't know how...) But side note here I love cleaning the house, especially when I am all by myself!
- He loves me! I am so not perfect and probably difficult at times to live with. And he still loves me.

I love you Eric!! Happy Birthday!!!
PS, don't forget to sign up for my give away! Ends tomorrow night at 6 PM Pacific....

I was Kidnapped!
And that is a good thing!
This morning I got up, started helping the kids get ready for school, and at 7:00 AM, still in my PJs, Eric told me that my friend Cheryl was watching the kids at 7:30 and we were going out. I quickly finished getting the kids ready, then showered, got dressed and made it down in time to meet our morning carpools (actually I am a terrible carpooler my friends are so wonderful and let my kids tag a long with them..Bee goes with one friend and G-Man goes with another.)
The babies were off and safe, and it was just me and my "kidnapper". It was nice and quiet. We talked a little, but mostly I looked in awe at the beauty around us. Eric's camera was in his computer bag and so I snapped some pictures as we drove along the Windward Coast. I just am amazed at the beauty there is in our world. Truly this place is my idea of beautiful.

We drove for an hour and a half to arrive at the Laie Temple. What a beautiful building, think I need to find another adjective other than beautiful. We went in for the 9:00 session, which they held for us since we arrived at a few minutes before the hour.

Some of you may not know what the temple is, and I tried to explain it to our friend Cheryl and I didn't do it much justice. You can find out more information on temples here as well (click the highlighted text.) But suffice it to say that it is a very sacred place that makes me feel at such peace. I really didn't want to leave. The beauty that surrounds me on this island doesn't compare to the beauty and feelings inside the temple. And if you are around the island, it is worth it to walk the grounds because they are amazing as well.
We grabbed a quick bite to eat, literally through a drive through, to make it home so that Cher
yl didn't have to hang out too long with our crazy munchkins, and well Eric had to go back to work. And we probably won't see him tonight. But it was a wonderful day.
Now we are just trying to finish up all our homework so we can go to the pool and grill some burgers and have an enjoyable evening. G-man has to re-do his spelling sentences from last night because they all started with I and that was "unacceptable." Oh well, so I wrote some for him and made him copy them because I really didn't want to spend another HOUR on writing spelling sentences....Oh the joys of school.
