People Don't Eat Biscuits

People Don't Eat Biscuits, biscuits are for Dogs.....so says my niece.

We had my nieces over for a sleep over the other night, and Eric decided to make my favorite biscuits and gravy.

When asked by my niece "what are we having for breakfast?", My Husband replied "Biscuits and gravy."

She looked at him all concerned and puzzled and said "People don't eat biscuits, biscuits are for dogs."

We laughed. And then explained that yes there are dog biscuits but there are also people biscuits that are more like rolls.

People don't eat tampons either!! I know probably a shocker but little T-rex's favorite snack as of late is going into the bathroom, opening the cupboard and pulling out a wrapped tampon and chew on it. I even have a neighbor say "Umm Corrine T-Rex is eating a tampon..." Think he is missing some kind of nutrient in his diet?

Optimistic Depression

Do you think there is such a thing? Being Optimistic and depressed at the same time? Sounds like something impossible. Though I am suffering from it.

I consider myself a rather optimistic person, fairly cheerful and easy going. Maybe that is just my outside, around other people personality, because in the quiet of my room, I sit and cry feeling despair and lost. Yet see a light and know that it will all be well. But right this moment it is hard. Really hard.

My mind seems to be playing tricks on me, how is it possible to feel so stinking sad and depressed and yet at the same time feel peace and know that everything will be ok! Do I have a split personality? Am I really ill.

Many times those around who have not suffered from depression and that lovely thing of chemical imbalance will tell me and others to just shake it off, snap out of it. If that was possible don't you think I would? Who wants to just cry at the drop of a hat, or feel so down that you really can't get anything done, or things around you that you really love to do, you don't and you physically can't. It truly is an awful state, one side of you is saying you can't and don't while the other side is saying come on just do it.

I recently started talking with a therapist. The first few weeks felt productive and enlightening. I challenged myself to do things I enjoy once a day, whether it was read a book, or take a bath or go for a walk. It helps. But I can't say I am cured... it takes time. And I am not one who likes to go on the slow healing path. I want to be better t\day.

Life feels like a rollercoaster for me, taking me up really high and then dropping me off really fast. I know life is suppose to be this way. I know that through all this I will be a better person and look back at this time with fondness??? well probably not fondness, more like "wow glad that is over but look how much I grew?"

And yet at the same time I feel like I am not going to get out of this slump, the chemicals will never balance themselves out, I could never possibly produce enough endorphins to over come this. I mean how many miles can I run in one day? How many pieces of chocolate can I consume??

I am happy, yet I am sad. And yet I think it is ok...really how else would I know I am happy if I didn't ever experience the sad?

A friend yesterday on her facebook posted "I am sort of angry?" I responded to her "So does that mean you are sort of happy?" And it made me think that I don't have to feel just one emotion at a time, and that it is possible to feel a mix of them at the same time.

Life is crazy. I love my life. I do. And that is why, I work really hard to fight. It is a constant battle. One I look forward to not having to fight daily. I will get there. I will. I have to.

Chinese Food Anyone?

Yesterday I went to the doctor...and in case you are wondering I had the lump checked about a month ago, and was scheduled for a sonogram to check it, however in the mean time I was able to pop it....guess it was a large cyst...good thing :) anyway so I went for a follow up and after which called home to see if we needed anything from the store while we I was out.

Eric said that Bee wanted Chinese food, and giggled.

I wasn't sure what was so funny about Chinese food so I asked him what the story was behind that.

While Eric, Bee and Two were sitting on the couch Bee told him "I want Chinese food for dinner."

Two looking extremely shocked, reached down, touched her bottom and said "Food for my china??"

And speaking of food, looks like we are going ahead with the restaurant, in Huntsville, Ut. Eric is up there testing the kitchen today, among other things. So if you are in Utah, either visiting or living, head up our way for some tasty Texas Style BBQ!!

We need to find a place to live, and well not sure how we are going to do it seeing we have only a few dollars to our name....oh well it will all work out!

Last night with our Chinese food we had fortune cookies and all our fortunes lead me to believe that the rocky road we have been traveling on will smooth out!

And T-Rex is doing much better thanks for asking, I mean according to his fortune he has a romantic encounter to soon happen :)

Friends, Movies and Chests

Can't beat a night filled with those right?

As the kids finished up dinner and began their crazy I am tired, read me stories, put me to bed routine, a neighbor friend came over and asked if G-Man could have a late night. Then Bee threw a fit because she wasn't going to have one too. Eric was walking around like death came over him, poor guy got what T-Rex must have had, just not as bad, meaning not having to be hospitalized. My phone rang, and it was a dear friend from Texas.

"Hey Corrine want to go see a movie."

"Ummm I don't live in Texas anymore."

"I know, we are in Utah."

"Cool, I'd love to." followed by me telling Eric that I was going and called my sister in law to see if she wanted to go with me too, she wanted too but my brother was too tired to watch the kids, so she couldn't go, but she helped me give in to Bee's woe is me I have no friends fit, and let her come spend the night.

Well I met up with my friends, actually I waited out side the Provo theater watching all the college couples cuddling and holding hands, and some awkward talking first daters, and flashed back to my single days and for a brief moment felt like an insecure single gal. But my friends showed up and we rushed to find seats together before the totally sold out opening day debut of "Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past"

After insurmountable amounts of previews the movie began. And let me tell you Mathew McConoughey (not sure if that is how you spell his name) is one of my favorite pieces of eye candy and going to see one of his movies you expect at least a little flashing of his nice pecs or guns..but there really was no skin...kudos to that, but if you were to ask me if I recommended the movie, I'd have to say no, don't see it. The company was awesome, some scenes really made me laugh, coke was great but movie was um...well not so great. In my opinion.

I think many of the viewers felt the same since I would say about half of the audience got up and left the movie. I have never seen that happen before. I wonder if it was because like me they were disappointed by not seeing Matt's pecs?? Maybe or the fact that they had all spent the day at a spiritually uplifting Women's conference and this movie wasn't quite there.

Though I think I am going to go with the chest theory. But too bad those ladies didn't hang on to the end of the movie when the moral of the story kicked in along with the diet coke.

You know the lines of people in the ladies restrooms after a movie, that is usually longer than the lines at walmart at 11 o'clock at night when they decide to have an associate meeting and leave only 3 people working registers with at least 20 people in line, yeah that long of a line. Well I am guessing that since half the women left the theater, the bathroom wasn't as crowded so no lines.

So we go in to do our little after movie ritual. And I unlock my door, and start walking to the sink, and see my reflection in the mirror, stare a little, not because I am vain but because I swore I was wearing a red shirt not a white and tan shirt. As I got a little closer to the mirror, I realized that for some reason my shirt was up and over my bra, bearing all to the poor skinny gal primping herself for her date outside waiting.

I quickly pulled down my shirt with as much dignity as I could muster, covering up my lovely muffin top and my not so Mathew chest, and never mind the fact that my underwear almost reached the bottom of my bra....poor poor gal, what a sight to see, I am sure that wasn't the chest she was hoping to see, when she came to watch the movie.

I put my hands under the faucet and doubled over in laughter, luckily the sink was there to hold me, and fortunately I had just used the toilet or I would have wet my pants. I couldn't contain my laughter. Nor could the others near me. I had tears streaming down my face, and water dripping off my hands, I turned to dry them, but the gal, her friend and my friend were chuckling under the driers, so I high tailed it out of the bathroom, in a burst of laughter.

My friend walked out and said "Do you always take your shirt off to pee?"

And my only response between the laughter was..."I have no idea how I got my shirt so high..."

We didn't get to see Mathews chest but I was willing to bare mine, and no one gave me any beads.

T-Rex at it again!

Little T-Rex, my 22 month old has been hospitalized. You may be thinking to yourself, deja vu? Yes the little guy went a month ago for two days and well he did his fancy hold his breathe, struggling to breath thing again.

He really scared me tonight. He started coughing Sunday night and couldn't sleep. We put him in our bed. Then last night he coughed and cried after being a sleep for a bit, and he joined us again. My sweet Two woke up crying so I went and fell asleep with her, to only be awoken by the most horrific coughing choking fit. It was a muffled not good sound, so I rushed to the bathroom.

I looked at Eric, who had brought T to the bathroom, because he was vomiting/coughing/choking. He set him down on the floor for a minute, and T-Rex just collapsed, and I could see his skin being sucked between his ribs as he tried to breath. I teetered between calling 911 and throwing him in the car.

We decided to just take him. Eric is there with T-Rex and who knows how long we will stay this time. He arrived at the hospital and his oxygen level was 79, had a fever, full lungs(pneumonia again) and to top it off---an ear infection.

Again I am home, not able to sleep, and too early to really call anyone.

Picking My Brain

Picking my brain and getting information about my personal feelings and thoughts can be very painful and as easy as turning a piece of coal into a diamond by squeezing it in my fist.

Life has been crazy and so many things have been floating around in my brain, and begun getting clogged up there....so much so that I haven't even been able to write much, which is usually my mental laxative.

so this entry may be long, it may be short and it may remind you of a terrible stomach ache after eating a seven day old hot dog from the convenient store...but none the less I am sitting here picking my brain, hoping to not make it bleed, like when picking a scab because I think most of my thoughts and brain activity have scabbed over the past little while.

----I totally didn't post and didn't mean to not post, but my little baby, my first born just turned 8!! G-Man is such a wonderful, sweet, caring, active, funny, social guy. He surely has blessed my life, keeps me on my toes and always willing to challenge my ability to parent. The poor kid has moved quite a bit in the last little while, and has fared fairly well and made some great friends. He had a wonderful Lego birthday party with eight of his eight year old friends. He even spent the weekend with his eight year old "twin" cousin (born a few days a part) and they had a blast building Lego projects one after the other.

AND the two of them will be baptized this Saturday...I can't believe my little G-Man is going to get baptized. He is so excited and ready for it. I wish all our family and friends could be there to share this special day with him.

----Maybe I haven't mentioned it but Eric and his best friend Greg are opening up a restaurant in Huntsville, UTAH...they found an awesome BBQ restaurant, with all the fixings that they pretty much can just open and run. They both have wanted to do this since forever and well things just keep falling into that direction. I AM SCARED and EXCITED all rolled up in one.

I think it is going to be a huge stress but will for sure be something that at least Eric really enjoys. And I am always up for party planning and stuff. But am not sure how it is going to work. We are on our last few dollars and well it SCARES me....I have no idea where we are going to live, and how we are going to live. I do know that the Lord seems to keep blessing us, and well I figure as long as we are doing what is right he will continue to bless us...and it just feels so right but yet I just can't see the whole picture....and worry if I am emotionally stable right now to handle the challenge a head of us....I have to be right?

----We need a car so bad....our car right now is wonderful and so glad that we have it, but every time I drive it and see a cop I pray he won't pull us over, besides the fact that it is still registered in Hawaii, I don't think we have our kids legally buckled....they all have a seat belt but one has to sit squeezed in the front and well anyway, its cramped and I know it can't be the safest thing for a family of six. But what can I do, we don't have any money to buy one...Anyone have a cheap reliable family van of sorts?

---I am tired....I am happy...I have hope....and I know things will work out. I just am not sure how well I will fair on the ride right now...

Anyone know of anyone renting in the Ogden area??? We need to find a place to live soon....Argh...sorry about this post you probably are glad I haven't written for awhile.....

Oh ok one last thing today while we were driving in the car, Two after coughing said "Coughing and farting is funny." followed by a cough and toot at the same time.

"Did you toot and cough at the same time?"

"yeah it is funny." followed by her trying to force the combination again.

It just made me laugh...I laughed really hard, I think I am tired, or maybe it was the way she said it...but anyway.......

Who would have thought??

This morning our toilet backed up....I was informed by my seven year old, soon to be eight in a few days, who yelled from the bathroom "the toilet is about to throw up water everywhere, pooh is going to get on the floor!"

I ran in and sure enough he was right, luckily none of the insides exploded on to the floor.

I packed the little three in to the car and headed out on a mission to find a plunger. Who would of thought it would be so hard...I mean I swear the last time I was at the store I saw one sitting right next to the toilet cleaning wand...but not today!

My first attempt was our local grocery store, where I swear I saw it before....I looked up and down the aisles...some how filling my cart with other things that I really didn't need, like the doughnut holes that were calling my name....or the large fresh strawberries that jumped into my cart, I swear I ate breakfast before I left.

Anyway $40 later, I was out the door. I called home to let Eric know I failed on my trip but got some groceries and asked him to call our upstairs neighbors to see if he could borrow their plunger, as we have had to borrow it before. He was not willing to do it. And told me on my way home before coming in to go ask her, since I would be outside anyway.

I got a little irritated and instead of coming home and borrowing the neighbors I set out on a mission, in hopes of finding one and to let Eric suffer holding his morning need to use the toilet.

I didn't go too far, but was driving really slow looking at all the stores, wondering if they carried a plunger...

scrapbook store--Probably not....

Reams cowboy gear...Um no they probably don't even use a toilet :).....

party gift shop...usually plungers aren't on the list of birthday gifts, would shoving hellium balloons down the toilet help???

another grocery store---not worth taking my kids out of the car to check....

AHHHHHHH Standard PLUMBING supply!!

Totally...Totally a plumbing store! They have to have a plunger Right?????

WRONG!!!

I walked in and looked around at all the pipes and gadgets and finally asked Noah the man at the counter, "Where are your plungers?"

"Oh we don't carry plungers believe it or not..."

"Really??" See I thought he was kidding...wouldn't you?? I mean Standard PLUMBING supply store??? What plumber doesn't need a plunger???

"Yeah we don't carry them, sorry."

"Ok thanks..."

I walked out a little dumbfounded....and determined to go find one.

Bee, as we drove away, said "that's crazy that a plumbing store doesn't have a plunger!"

"i know its like an ice cream store not having ice cream!"

"Yeah that is crazy totally like a grocery store not having food"

"Or a shoe store not having shoes!"

"Yeah that is CRAZY" and the game went on forever and she then said "I bet Home Depot has it"

"I bet you are right....."

And well we came upon a LOWEs and low and behold the plunger!! Yeah for me, mission accomplished.....and when I got home, I even was able to successfully unplug the toilet!

Moral of the story.....you can't judge a store by its name!

hmmmm.........

blog hopping I used to do,

go here,

click there

and leave a comment,

all in hopes the favor would be returned, and my numbers would grow.

daily laughs, i seemed to post, about my little crew,

but as of late, the laughs seem to be too few, fewer than my posts, and fewer than my blog visits.

are the laughs gone, or has my sense of humor flown south for the winter???

I don't know... i just can't say....

I don't even get on the computer every day!

shocker for me

a lady who checked things hummmm like hummmmm three times an hour......

but life has a way of reminding me, that there is a smile around each corner

little Two...when scratching my back the other day responded, when I asked her how she learned to scratch a back so well, ...."I am a Child of God thats how!"

and I over heard the neighbor girl, boasting to her friend...that my little G-Man was the man she one day would wed.

T-Rex not quite two, points to his bum, runs to the toilet and says "pooh" and up on the pot he goes....he goes! Though his little bum is so little I can't find underpants to fit him.....

sitting on the bed tonight with my little family, as I tried to get them all to bed, Two walked up and farted on her dads head.....I laughed....and G-Man said...."I don't get it, how can you go from being so 'mad' to laughing so hard, I don't get it...." yeah I don't get it either but it really made me laugh.

and its late and i need to sleep and this post is reflecting my tired mind....

i need to go and be alert to help out in the classroom tomorrow, the teacher pulled me aside today and told me how wonderful i have been and how she appreciates all that i have done so far. it made me feel good. it made me feel important.

Life

is bigger, bigger than you and you are not me....is that how that song goes?? there's me in the corner there's me in the spot light, losing my religion..trying to...hmmmmhmmmm

anyway got that song stuck in the head and its making up all kinds of words and filling in the gaps....but man life....seems like it is just spinning beyond my control...and yet I need to stop, and look around and show appreciation for the things I have and not sit here diggin myself deeper into a hole, its hard....but I have realized life is really meant to be enjoyed, even in times of struggles....so what brings me joy?

  1. T-Rex is out of the hospital and happier and more full of energy than ever...well he has his slow moments and is still recovering but doing very well. He is suppose to be on oxygen at night but after two nights of him almost strangling himself with the cord, I decided his breathing is doing just fine. We are watching him close but he is doing well. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
  2. Friends, seems like many times when I find myself in my little pitty party mode, I realize I have lots of friends EVERYWHERE! I mean my goodness I have over 400 friends on facebook, and well I am just amazed I have met that many people.
  3. Change.....if it weren't for change and moving around I wouldn't get to know so many different people, and be able to make so many friends..
  4. A roof over my head, even if it is some one elses and we hear the running around and chairs moving, I am grateful it is there and that the family is letting us stay in their basement apartment!
  5. Plus they have kids my kids age that love to play with them, so its a constant party it seems.
  6. Kids...my little kids sure make me smile and have so much energy and life. They sure make life worth living for. G-Man is becoming such a man and so sensitive to others feelings and his surroundings and seems to always be looking out for his mom.
  7. Health...we have had our share of colds and the stomach bug lately, but we are for the most part healthy....minus the little lump I found in my breast this week....which of course will turn out to be nothing, but we are doing well as far as our health goes.
  8. Family...it is really nice to live in an area where we are surrounded by so much family. They are always so willing to help out and so much fun to hang around.
  9. Buses...I am so glad that this school has buses and that my kids can just walk down the street to catch it, and that I don't have to pack everyone in the car and drive through the snow in the early mornings.
  10. Walking, this morning I was going to go but the snow and wind were really bad, so I did an exercise video, I so much prefer going outside and being outside. I just love that I can walk and that I really enjoy it.

Have a great day! Nap time is over! Bummer! I just need a few more minutes of peace and quiet...

RSV

It appears that his bronchitis and pneumonia are caused by RSV that hit him what feels like really fast. Anyway, his oxygen dropped to the low 80s and will be on oxygen until he stays in the mid 90s on his own. He was admitted and they plan to keep him there a few days. Getting the kids off to school, and Emily farmed off somewhere, and then I will head to see and spend the few days with him there.

Just when you come up for air....

a big ol' hand reaches and pushes your head back under the water....or so it feels like it.

Its a little after three am, and my husband is at the ER with our little T-REX. He spiked a fever a few days ago, Sunday night, and then when we took him in to the doctor Monday, he had bronchitis and pneumonia, with no other signs, coughing, running nose...nothing...other than well the little weasing...minor detail right....anyway we were surprised more or less.

Today his breathing became more shallow and wheezy and more coughing....coughing is good isn't it? But tonight, as I slept next to him, he began coughing and coughing and coughing followed by very rapid shallow breathing. So hear I sit typing, worrying about how the little guy is doing, while his dad drives to the ER in the snow and probably on very icy roads.

I can't sleep. I probably should have gone with him. I should try sleeping. I do have to work tomorrow.

I started last week working in an Autistic preschool at a near by elementary school. I really like it. I think they like me, because they have asked me to sub all week. I am suppose to only work Thursday and Friday. I enjoy the opportunity to make some money.

Eric is finding out how fun it is to stay home with four kids. Do I feel bad for him? Not at all, sorry sweetie....ok maybe a little since I know how tough it can be. I just hear his little sob....I mean...um just stories about the day....like "t-rex unrolled a whole roll of toilet paper, and while I was cleaning that up, Bee climbed on top of the fridge and got out that very bright red nail polish you bought yesterday and painted herself, her clothes and the kitchen floor. And after we cleaned that up Two pooped her pants...." I just smile, nod and say "I'm sorry" and really I am thinking...."you see what my days are like...and throw in doing four loads of laundry, making calls and (actually I don't really ever make calls just sounded good in my head) loaded and un loaded the dishwasher, and......well you know"

Anyway I am grateful that he is willing to watch the kids and attempt to look for a job during the chaos of tending children. I love you Eric THANK YOU!!

Anyone want to earn a few extra dollars watching two kids in the afternoons, for a couple of hours???

Well I best get some sleep, even though that isn't likely all things considering. I know it will be ok....because I wrote about it and let it out in the air....its just going to be a fun little night spending ER trip.....where is T-Rex's birth certificate so we can get him on MEDICAID???

A Whole Lot of Stuff

Oh my goodness what a week!!!

  • We moved!--not far just down the street to a neighbor's basement apartment. We miss my parents but hope they are enjoying the peace and quiet, and that my dad can heal very quickly...which he is doing well so far...not including his little decision to go down a flight of stairs outside in the freezing weather, down another flight of stairs to only be locked out. My niece thinks we live in the "coolest house ever!" I think it has to do with the fact that we have a lazy susan full of snacks :) and me and the kids of course and one of her friends from kindergarten lives above us.

  • I took the Census 2010 worker test and passed with flying colors, scoring just a little higher than my husband. Not gloating at all....ok a little.

  • T-Rex managed to pull all the keys off not one, but two of our laptops....well we only have two. There is no Y on the computer I am typing on and the space bar doesn't want to work.

  • I totally had a nervous brake down, seriously, reason why I have been absent from the computer, nothing a little counseling and drugs can't fix....at least I hope.

  • Now everyone one in our family, minus the dad and myself, have thrown up in a week time frame. At least they are spreading it out, as well as spreading those germs around really well....we have been sick a lot since moving to the cold.

  • Two hasn't slept in my bed all week! I think she likes having her "own" room, she and Bee share and T-rex and G-man are sharing.

  • I applied for a job a few weeks back, and they hired someone before I could get an interview, but the teacher spoke with me then. She called me yesterday and asked if I could come in and interview today. I did, and she hired me on the spot. I started next week. Just two days a week, but its grocery money.

  • My favorite cousin got married yesterday and or the day before yesterday? what day is it? Anyway...time flies...I got to take pictures for them and they turned out pretty good. This is one of my favorites....and another one of my favorites...

  • And last but not least....sometime somewhere I signed up for guest bloggin, and I so can't remember, but I have the awesome opportunity to share with you a guest blogger. Christa over at the Domestic Goddess is living it up in Alaska, as she mothers her two adorable children. She moved around a bit as a child, with her dad in the army. ==On one of their moves she met her dear sweet heart husband. Her latest craze, besides purses, is the Wii fit, which by the way I am dying to get one....There is a whole group out there using this as their weight loss program, cheaper than a gym membership. Anyway head on over Christa and give her some blogging comment love!!! And keep on playing those video games!

Beeisms!

Sweet Sweet Bee....

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Utah Valley but there used to be a factory called Geneva Steel. Anyway in its old place is still some kind of factory. My mom and Bee were driving to the store and she said "Look Nanny, there is one of those cloud making buildings."

Nanny says "Oh really?!"

"Yeah well that might not be an actual cloud making building and that could just be steam but there are cloud making buildings around."

Then the other morning before my dad had heart surgery, I began to fix her some lunch.

"How about some sausages (polish sausages/hot dogs) for lunch?" I asked.

Bee replied "are those the SAME sausages that made Papa sick?"

"Well yes but eat them."

Before Papa went to the hospital she asked him if she could see his scar after, he said no since it was going to be an upper thigh scar, originally. So later in the day she came up to me and asked "Well can I at least see Papa after he gets his clothes on?"
Now he is going to have a really cool scar to show her. She can't wait to see him back home. Neither can we.

And yesterday morning as I was getting the kids fed and ready for the day, I looked over and T-Rex was sitting in his high chair.
Puzzled I asked "Now how did you get in your high chair?"

Two looked over and said "It's Magic."

When it Rains It Pours!

Things are a little to say the least crazy around here. I could use some prayers, as well as if y'all could send prayers my dad's way.

I got this email from my brother, of course after I had already received the call from my mom, but I was surprised at the different response of my brother and I.

Here's his email:

As you are aware, Dad is going in for a quadruple bypass in the morning. He is at the hospital now and will not be coming home for a week.

I am going to start a fast for him. I think it would be nice if we could keep him in our prayers. The Dr. said that someone in his condition is never as mobile as he has been.

I was with him last week when he passed with flying colors an EKG. Then yesterday he did well on a stress test but the Dr. to make sure did another test which showed blockage in four (maybe 5) arteries. The heart is in good shape, but the arteries supplying blood are nearly all blocked.

As my brother was thinking of fasting and praying for my dad, which I have said several prayers, I had a totally different response which my response was:

First really uncontrollable tears....I mean my dad is having open heart surgery! That is serious stuff....

then second...I made chocolate chip cookies...(my emotional bandaid) ....

then third I thought about the fact that I have a pretty darn not so good heart....and I really have to do something to take care of it.

When I went to visit my dad in the hospital today, he was just going in for a possible stint, artery check, and now won't be out for at least a week, but the doctor said their appears to be congenital damage as well. Which has me with the not so great heart even more concerned....anyway this is not about me.

Then fourth, I felt guilty for writing about my wonderings about heart failure, its like I opened up the ironic skies!

I just pray that the doctors hands are steady tomorrow morning and that all goes well. I am praying for you Dad! Love you so much!!!And I can't get this picture in the right orientation!!!

Wordless Wednesday: BABIES

And Y'all Can Play at any TIME!

Do you ever remember hearing the smallest record player (or insert favorite musical instrument here) playing my heart bleeds for you? You know the one little tiny instrument that fits between your pointer and thumb and is played by rubbing the fingers around together? Yeah that one. Go ahead an play it at any point during this post because I will tell you what I might need some cheese with my whine, as well as some great back ground music.

I think if I haven't yet, I am about to lose my mind. Give me a few hours of sleep, and I think I do ok, take away my sleep and I am not fun to be around at all. And not like the little monsters I live with are any fun after little sleep either, but they seem to rebound better.

Saturday night, Bee woke up at about midnight and crawled into our bed, to only roll over and throw up all over our bed and Eric. (yeah for me) After changing our sheets, and bathing her, we decided to make her a bed in the tub. She actually was excited about it, but woke up about every 30 minutes to throw up again. It was a miserable night to say the least.

At least Sunday Eric took the other three to church and then to visit cousins, so it was actually a pleasant day with just Bee.

But then they all came home, we fed them dinner. And life became crazy again. My poor parents, I think we are about to drive them to a nut house, if we haven't already turned their quiet sanctuary into a total mental institution. I think everything my kids do is triple obnoxious because I know there are two other adults that are being driven crazy which compounds my own stress level. (go ahead rub your fingers together....)

We tried to confine the kiddos to our room and oh my gosh they were just crazy. So I went into their room to read. Then they joined me and I was like done. All of you! Off with your heads...I mean off to bed.

So we got them down for the most part with only a little kicking and screaming. But the quiet only lasted but a few minutes, and then crying and screaming started. What the heck! What does a mom have to do to get some sleep around here.

About now I am sure your fingers are sore from rubbing them.

Then T-Rex woke up screaming at about 9:30 (only been asleep for about 30 minutes myself), I quieted him and then put him back to sleep.

Only to be followed out of the room by a screaming crying TWO an hour or so later. Got her to sleep on our floor and then I finally fell back to sleep. But that didn't last when T-Rex started screaming again at 1:30. I went in to try to get him to lay down when fowl scents filled my nostrils. He had the runs.

I picked him up and could feel it in his pj legs. So after changing him and redressing him, he would have nothing to do with his crib, so I put him in my bed. He slept fine until about three when I put him back in his crib, to only have him wake up screaming again at 4 and I put him in bed with me again. To only have his sister TWo climb in our bed at a quarter to five, waking him up and he would no longer sleep.

So Eric took the screaming duo up stairs to see if some warm milk could help them go back to sleep. Lets just say its 8:22 and no one is sleeping. Though Two did crawl back in bed with me for a bit, and we fell asleep until a little before six when I heard T-Rex belting at the top of his lungs...anyway

I took him for a walk and he slept most of the way.

Now how to survive the rest of the day??? Actually the rest of the week? The rest of my uncertain life??

Yeah you see, to top off no sleep, and crying kids and loud noises and not being in our own home, stressing about keeping peace and quiet and order...

Still no job yet.

Whaaaa Whaaa!!!!

did you ever wonder why?

did you ever wonder why there are no "fun" candy filled, tasty food holidays during the warm months when you can actually go out side and exercise and burn off those fun treats??

I mean really have you thought about it? Starting with Halloween (end of October as if you didn't know the date) until Easter (mid April) there is almost a holiday each month that shoves food down your throat...well it doesn't shove it down your throat but it is there yelling to you to come eat it. And you begin to make the treats and there is candy on your shelf for those six straight months. And then bam. No more fun treats and candies.

Why?? Is it a crazed marketing tool, to fatten you up during the cold, dark and dreary months, to only succor you into the diet craze for the next six months?

Why isn't there any fun candy backing holidays during those other months?? I mean yeah you have your bbq's on Memorial, Independence and Labor day, but why not have flag Peeps, or fun little star shaped sweettarts? Or Red, White and Blue candy corn?

Did you ever wonder why, some bloggers have comment moderation and word verification as well??? seems over kill to me (sorry to my friends that have it) but really if you are approving comments, do you really have to have us type those few extra letters that half the time I can't read? I never have spam commenters....maybe I am not cool enough, but just curious as to why the double protection?? I don't get it.

Did you ever wonder how they get the filling in the Twinkies? "I think it was just born there"....

Did you ever wonder who in their right mind would see a movie before reading a book, and who would be crazy enough to never read the Twilight Series, and Harry Potter books for that matter? Yeah that's right. Me!

I saw Twilight tonight and cheesy and well give Edward a laxative or something, but really liked it and really want to read the books now. I am so glad I didn't read the books because it would have TOTALLY ruined the movie. :)

Did you ever wonder why you need to rinse and wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher?

Did you ever wonder why they think heart failure is the number one cause of death? when death is when your heart stops beating? so like isn't that like pot calling the kettle black?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did you ever wonder why you mindlessly write blog posts in hopes to receive a few comments from people that you have never met? because the ones you know, never comment and then later say to you....as you repeat your ramblings..."oh yeah I read that on your blog?"

Did you ever wonder how many licks it would take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

Did you ever wonder why you should be sleeping and you can't shut off your mind?

Did you ever wonder why you can remember commercials from your early childhood, but can't remember what you did yesterday?
