Wow my 445th post! Lots of Randomness

Well when I got ready to post I thought I uploaded the pictures in the order that I wanted them. However, now it appears my whit and ability to tie them all together may be a challenge. And since my computer is being a butt head it is difficult for me to move the pictures around. So without any further delays, my week, my 445th post in 15 pictures of less!

Little T-Rex sums up the last weekend before school! Holy Hannah it was a night mare! Blinds were ripped off the wall, a picture frame took a shattering death, mascara was unevenly applied, sink was over filled, dinner was spilled all over the floor, water was spilled, watermelon splattered, just to name a few things. Here T-rex sits in the sink, caught red handed and naughty! Actually I went to get the camera to record the nightmare of a night and put him back into the sink to get this photo! :) But did not have enough patience to photograph the rest of the mess....to say the least G-Man called Eric in a panic and told him he needed to come home...I guess I was really losing it.

But I gained enough composure Sunday to get the kids all ready for school on Monday Morning....actually Eric had the idea to dress up their dolls and stuffed animals in the outfits for the morning. They thought that was the coolest thing ever.

After blessings from their dad, they headed off to bed with some stories. And bright and early they were up and off to school! They ate breakfast, put on their new clothes and headed out the door with me behind them with my camera around my neck. However, Eric said "No way you aren't going to be one of those mom's are you?" So I decided to take my camera off as soon as I got a picture of them heading down the stairs. However we have a really old cool school and I just might have to be one of those mom's and bring the camera to school the second week. Which I will probably look even weirder than bringing it on the first day. Why do I listen to my husband???
First day of school went off with any hitches. I actually had the opportunity to go to lunch with Eric and make it home to put together a little snack and gifts and cards for the kids. Look at G-Mans face....so filled with joy! He was so thrilled that I thought of them and did something for them. I guess the weekend was really rough and they thought they had lost their mom to a wicked witch :)
While the big kids were at school on Tuesday the little ones and some friends hit the dinosaur park. Such a cool place. So much so that after school on Tuesday I took the kids there! We had a blast!

Two really likes her little friend! She wanted to me to take several pictures of her with him. He is a cutie, I don't blame her. Notice her shoes are on the wrong feet. Gotta love that girl!

This morning while trying to catch up on some blogging and photo uploading, T-Rex came and sat on my bed with me, notice he is wearing a hula skirt, and a Thomas the Train jammie shirt. He loves to dress himself and is so stinking stubborn about what he wears! Oh the blackmail pictures I have!

Speaking of pictures, do you know how hard it is to get some people to take a good picture of you with a friend you meet for the first time?? Yvonne, a wonderful fellow blogger and one of my newest dearest friends, came all the way from Canada for a visit. Well actually she was dropping her son off at BYU but still SHE came all the way up to the restaurant to visit us, dragging her sweet and kind husband with her. And they didn't even eat anything. So we packed her up some food to go. We had such an enjoyable time chatting and catching up just like old friends. If you ever want a chance to read an amazing woman's blog, check her out. I am not the first blogging friend she has met, she has touched many people's lives! Thanks Yvonne!

Check out this amazing sunset!!! I was driving home Tuesday night and had to pull over to get a shot of it. I love all those oranges and yellows and purples! Amazing beauty!

And a Barbecue plug! Tuesday night we did a back to school night at the restaurant with free hot dogs and watermelon for the kids. They had a blast and it was fun to see people coming and eating with us. When you get the chance you really should make a trip up to Texas Pride Barbecue. The scenery is amazing! And the food is awesome! Also we will be having a fall festival, every Saturday of October! Come on out! www.texaspridebarbecue.com
And have a great week....man I am worried about posting this and seeing the mess that I made!

She is from Utah! though she lived in Texas for a little tiny part of her life :)

If you could give 1 piece of advice to #7, what would it be?

Erika is always so kind to people and friendly to all around here....shes a great friend and she inspires me to just be a nicer kinder person...and for some reason I have this underlined..no link.

I know 7 of them, Angela, Abby and Yvonne, have become my friends through blogging.

Do any of your 10 know eachother?
I think so....if I think about it....Erika might know Charly? Sheri knows Jessica.

Out of the 10, which updates more frequently?
Ummm....Charly maybe, then I'd say Cherylanne, no wait Yvonne for sure...especially with her Thanksgiving posts every day!

Which of the 10 keep you laughing?
I think they each have their moments where I laugh with them, and shed some tears with them.

Which of the 10 made you cry (good or bad tears)?
Sheri's post recently about her dog made me cry.

Now for my tagging....I choose to tag y'all since you like to comment on my blog....but since Abby you have already done it...oh well! Happy answering.

Monday Mumblings: A little bit of EVERYTHING

T-Rex:

OH MY GOODNESS, this little boy could be the poster child for Energizer batteries, he keeps going and going and going. IN the last 24 hours, he has:
  • put almost a whole roll of TP in the toilet
  • threw clothes in the toilet
  • climbed in the toilet ( you think the door would have been locked by now.)
  • climbed into the shower with clothes on and completed soaked himself, with the help of a 3 year old sister who knows how to turn the water on.
  • dumped crayons on the floor, not once, nor twice but 5 times...how does he keep getting them?
  • climbed on the kitchen table and knocked water on the floor (left water glasses on the table, at least we use plastic.)
  • spilt milk on the laptop
  • dumped a bottle of water on the carpet
  • dug food out of the trash (i promise i feed him)
  • pulled a poopy diaper out of the trash can and opened it and spread it all over his feet and hands...probably tried tasting it....
  • threw an orange off the balcony
  • and he slept in until 8 this morning...i guess the last day pooped him out.

Blogs:
I recently sat down and helped a friend start a blog. She wrote several posts, and then got a little frustrated that she couldn't write every day and felt like no one was reading it and thus deleted it.

It is interesting to me, this whole bloggerhood thing because it truly is its own community. The blog world kind of reminds me of high school. It is filled with all kinds of clicks.
  • There are the "cool" kids, who for some reason draw thousands of readers and comments, they aren't necessarily any better at writing than others, but some how their coolness has typed through to the blog world.
  • Then there are your geeks, that blog about tech stuff or other non personal information.
  • You have your introverts, that write about their deepest darkest secrets, and keep to themselves.
  • Then there are the class clowns, you just read and laugh at all the things they are poking fun of in their lives.
  • There are those on the yearbook commitee, who like to post pictures and capture their events.
  • There are the jocks who post about their running and other exercise regimens.
  • You have the cheerleaders, who seem to be able to do it all and keep on smiling. Their posts seem so perfect and happy.
  • You got the goth groups, all dark and dreary, and wow is me.
  • You have the International group, sharing their learning of different cultures and travels.

Anyway I am sure there are ton more types of bloggers, and some sort of mix. But my point is, what ever reason you write, or when you are able to write, it should be for you. It should not matter what others think, or if they comment (though it does make you feel good to get comments) but for your personal records.

I am just amazed at the world blogging has opened to me. I have been able to meet people I would have never met before. I have been able to learn things about people I don't think I would have ever learned on a personal level.

My words of wisdom here? Blog when you can. Blog what you want. And don't get caught up in comparing yourself to other bloggers. Do what you can, be you.

LIFE:

I think I fell off my life raft and am holding on to my life jacket floating in the ocean riding up and down with the waves, unsure of when my boat is going to come back and pick me up and take me to my destination. Heck I don't even know where that destination is and what my boat looks like.

We are here, for a few more months. And then what? We don't know. It is crazy. We are at a point where we could end up anywhere in the world. I have thought about taking out a world map and just throwing a dart and going there. There are few things keeping us from doing that, like MONEY and well thats about it.

We possibly could end up back in Austin, but Eric feels unsure about what is going to happen with his company and his job there. The kids want to stay here, and I actually wouldn't mind living here, it is so beautiful and well yeah it is just beautiful and everything is so close, but it is SO EXPENSIVE. With the fact that Eric shows up after we are all asleep and leaves usually before we wake up, he hasn't had much time to even look for other work opportunities.

So anyone have any suggestions? Know of any great places to raise a family? Cost of living low? Job market fairly stable?

I am all over the place here.....

Ok off to take care of the kids.....

Welcome to my Bloggerhood

As I was up late last night with Timmy, who has a terrible runny nose and fever, I was thinking about my new blog life, my new bloggerhood. I love going to friends blogs and clicking on others blogs and going from there. Last night I was amazed to find so many awesome sights linking people together. I don't know exactly where I went or if I can get there again, I read some wonderful blogs, so if I commented on your sight please comment on mine so I can find you again!

It is amazing how just sitting down to type your thoughts, your life events, you get a chance to know so many other wonderful people. I have been inspired by many blog entries and things written. Many of which have sparked in me many ideas of things I need to write and do.

Thank you for being a part of my bloggerhood, just wish we could get to know the people in our neighborhoods like we get to know our people in our bloggerhood, I think the world would be a much happier place. Keep posting! Keep commenting!
