Little T-Rex, my 22 month old has been hospitalized. You may be thinking to yourself, deja vu? Yes the little guy went a month ago for two days and well he did his fancy hold his breathe, struggling to breath thing again.
He really scared me tonight. He started coughing Sunday night and couldn't sleep. We put him in our bed. Then last night he coughed and cried after being a sleep for a bit, and he joined us again. My sweet Two woke up crying so I went and fell asleep with her, to only be awoken by the most horrific coughing choking fit. It was a muffled not good sound, so I rushed to the bathroom.
I looked at Eric, who had brought T to the bathroom, because he was vomiting/coughing/choking. He set him down on the floor for a minute, and T-Rex just collapsed, and I could see his skin being sucked between his ribs as he tried to breath. I teetered between calling 911 and throwing him in the car.
We decided to just take him. Eric is there with T-Rex and who knows how long we will stay this time. He arrived at the hospital and his oxygen level was 79, had a fever, full lungs(pneumonia again) and to top it off---an ear infection.
Again I am home, not able to sleep, and too early to really call anyone.
The every changing, forever learning, mom of five children and one husband, sharing life's every day moments.

Picking My Brain
Picking my brain and getting information about my personal feelings and thoughts can be very painful and as easy as turning a piece of coal into a diamond by squeezing it in my fist.
Life has been crazy and so many things have been floating around in my brain, and begun getting clogged up there....so much so that I haven't even been able to write much, which is usually my mental laxative.
so this entry may be long, it may be short and it may remind you of a terrible stomach ache after eating a seven day old hot dog from the convenient store...but none the less I am sitting here picking my brain, hoping to not make it bleed, like when picking a scab because I think most of my thoughts and brain activity have scabbed over the past little while.
----I totally didn't post and didn't mean to not post, but my little baby, my first born just turned 8!! G-Man is such a wonderful, sweet, caring, active, funny, social guy. He surely has blessed my life, keeps me on my toes and always willing to challenge my ability to parent. The poor kid has moved quite a bit in the last little while, and has fared fairly well and made some great friends. He had a wonderful Lego birthday party with eight of his eight year old friends. He even spent the weekend with his eight year old "twin" cousin (born a few days a part) and they had a blast building Lego projects one after the other.
AND the two of them will be baptized this Saturday...I can't believe my little G-Man is going to get baptized. He is so excited and ready for it. I wish all our family and friends could be there to share this special day with him.
----Maybe I haven't mentioned it but Eric and his best friend Greg are opening up a restaurant in Huntsville, UTAH...they found an awesome BBQ restaurant, with all the fixings that they pretty much can just open and run. They both have wanted to do this since forever and well things just keep falling into that direction. I AM SCARED and EXCITED all rolled up in one.
I think it is going to be a huge stress but will for sure be something that at least Eric really enjoys. And I am always up for party planning and stuff. But am not sure how it is going to work. We are on our last few dollars and well it SCARES me....I have no idea where we are going to live, and how we are going to live. I do know that the Lord seems to keep blessing us, and well I figure as long as we are doing what is right he will continue to bless us...and it just feels so right but yet I just can't see the whole picture....and worry if I am emotionally stable right now to handle the challenge a head of us....I have to be right?
----We need a car so bad....our car right now is wonderful and so glad that we have it, but every time I drive it and see a cop I pray he won't pull us over, besides the fact that it is still registered in Hawaii, I don't think we have our kids legally buckled....they all have a seat belt but one has to sit squeezed in the front and well anyway, its cramped and I know it can't be the safest thing for a family of six. But what can I do, we don't have any money to buy one...Anyone have a cheap reliable family van of sorts?
---I am tired....I am happy...I have hope....and I know things will work out. I just am not sure how well I will fair on the ride right now...
Anyone know of anyone renting in the Ogden area??? We need to find a place to live soon....Argh...sorry about this post you probably are glad I haven't written for awhile.....

Who would have thought??
This morning our toilet backed up....I was informed by my seven year old, soon to be eight in a few days, who yelled from the bathroom "the toilet is about to throw up water everywhere, pooh is going to get on the floor!"
I ran in and sure enough he was right, luckily none of the insides exploded on to the floor.
I packed the little three in to the car and headed out on a mission to find a plunger. Who would of thought it would be so hard...I mean I swear the last time I was at the store I saw one sitting right next to the toilet cleaning wand...but not today!
My first attempt was our local grocery store, where I swear I saw it before....I looked up and down the aisles...some how filling my cart with other things that I really didn't need, like the doughnut holes that were calling my name....or the large fresh strawberries that jumped into my cart, I swear I ate breakfast before I left.
Anyway $40 later, I was out the door. I called home to let Eric know I failed on my trip but got some groceries and asked him to call our upstairs neighbors to see if he could borrow their plunger, as we have had to borrow it before. He was not willing to do it. And told me on my way home before coming in to go ask her, since I would be outside anyway.
I got a little irritated and instead of coming home and borrowing the neighbors I set out on a mission, in hopes of finding one and to let Eric suffer holding his morning need to use the toilet.
I didn't go too far, but was driving really slow looking at all the stores, wondering if they carried a plunger...
scrapbook store--Probably not....
Reams cowboy gear...Um no they probably don't even use a toilet :).....
party gift shop...usually plungers aren't on the list of birthday gifts, would shoving hellium balloons down the toilet help???

I walked in and looked around at all the pipes and gadgets and finally asked Noah the man at the counter, "Where are your plungers?"
"Oh we don't carry plungers believe it or not..."
"Really??" See I thought he was kidding...wouldn't you?? I mean Standard PLUMBING supply store??? What plumber doesn't need a plunger???
"Yeah we don't carry them, sorry."
"Ok thanks..."
I walked out a little dumbfounded....and determined to go find one.
Bee, as we drove away, said "that's crazy that a plumbing store doesn't have a plunger!"
"i know its like an ice cream store not having ice cream!"
"Yeah that is crazy totally like a grocery store not having food"
"Or a shoe store not having shoes!"
"Yeah that is CRAZY" and the game went on forever and she then said "I bet Home Depot has it"
"I bet you are right....."
And well we came upon a LOWEs and low and behold the plunger!! Yeah for me, mission accomplished.....and when I got home, I even was able to successfully unplug the toilet!
Moral of the story.....you can't judge a store by its name!

Talents!!
Have you ever seen others talents and been like "WOW" that is so awesome, and you are not jealous just really admiring and think "I'd love to be able to do that?" daily laughs, i seemed to post, about my little crew,
but as of late, the laughs seem to be too few, fewer than my posts, and fewer than my blog visits.
are the laughs gone, or has my sense of humor flown south for the winter???
I don't know... i just can't say....
I don't even get on the computer every day!

a lady who checked things hummmm like hummmmm three times an hour......
but life has a way of reminding me, that there is a smile around each corner
little Two...when scratching my back the other day responded, when I asked her how she learned to scratch a back so well, ...."I am a Child of God thats how!"
and I over heard the neighbor girl, boasting to her friend...that my little G-Man was the man she one day would wed.
T-Rex not quite two, points to his bum, runs to the toilet and says "pooh" and up on the pot he goes....he goes! Though his little bum is so little I can't find underpants to fit him.....
sitting on the bed tonight with my little family, as I tried to get them all to bed, Two walked up and farted on her dads head.....I laughed....and G-Man said...."I don't get it, how can you go from being so 'mad' to laughing so hard, I don't get it...." yeah I don't get it either but it really made me laugh.
and its late and i need to sleep and this post is reflecting my tired mind....
i need to go and be alert to help out in the classroom tomorrow, the teacher pulled me aside today and told me how wonderful i have been and how she appreciates all that i have done so far. it made me feel good. it made me feel important.

Life
is bigger, bigger than you and you are not me....is that how that song goes?? there's me in the corner there's me in the spot light, losing my religion..trying to...hmmmmhmmmm
anyway got that song stuck in the head and its making up all kinds of words and filling in the gaps....but man life....seems like it is just spinning beyond my control...and yet I need to stop, and look around and show appreciation for the things I have and not sit here diggin myself deeper into a hole, its hard....but I have realized life is really meant to be enjoyed, even in times of struggles....so what brings me joy?

- T-Rex is out of the hospital and happier and more full of energy than ever...well he has his slow moments and is still recovering but doing very well. He is suppose to be on oxygen at night but after two nights of him almost strangling himself with the cord, I decided his breathing is doing just fine. We are watching him close but he is doing well. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
- Friends, seems like many times when I find myself in my little pitty party mode, I realize I have lots of friends EVERYWHERE! I mean my goodness I have over 400 friends on facebook, and well I am just amazed I have met that many people.
- Change.....if it weren't for change and moving around I wouldn't get to know so many different people, and be able to make so many friends..
- A roof over my head, even if it is some one elses and we hear the running around and chairs moving, I am grateful it is there and that the family is letting us stay in their basement apartment!
- Plus they have kids my kids age that love to play with them, so its a constant party it seems.
- Kids...my little kids sure make me smile and have so much energy and life. They sure make life worth living for. G-Man is becoming such a man and so sensitive to others feelings and his surroundings and seems to always be looking out for his mom.
- Health...we have had our share of colds and the stomach bug lately, but we are for the most part healthy....minus the little lump I found in my breast this week....which of course will turn out to be nothing, but we are doing well as far as our health goes.
- Family...it is really nice to live in an area where we are surrounded by so much family. They are always so willing to help out and so much fun to hang around.
- Buses...I am so glad that this school has buses and that my kids can just walk down the street to catch it, and that I don't have to pack everyone in the car and drive through the snow in the early mornings.
- Walking, this morning I was going to go but the snow and wind were really bad, so I did an exercise video, I so much prefer going outside and being outside. I just love that I can walk and that I really enjoy it.
Have a great day! Nap time is over! Bummer! I just need a few more minutes of peace and quiet...

RSV
It appears that his bronchitis and pneumonia are caused by RSV that hit him what feels like really fast. Anyway, his oxygen dropped to the low 80s and will be on oxygen until he stays in the mid 90s on his own. He was admitted and they plan to keep him there a few days. Getting the kids off to school, and Emily farmed off somewhere, and then I will head to see and spend the few days with him there.
Just when you come up for air....
a big ol' hand reaches and pushes your head back under the water....or so it feels like it.
Its a little after three am, and my husband is at the ER with our little T-REX. He spiked a fever a few days ago, Sunday night, and then when we took him in to the doctor Monday, he had bronchitis and pneumonia, with no other signs, coughing, running nose...nothing...other than well the little weasing...minor detail right....anyway we were surprised more or less.
Today his breathing became more shallow and wheezy and more coughing....coughing is good isn't it? But tonight, as I slept next to him, he began coughing and coughing and coughing followed by very rapid shallow breathing. So hear I sit typing, worrying about how the little guy is doing, while his dad drives to the ER in the snow and probably on very icy roads.
I can't sleep. I probably should have gone with him. I should try sleeping. I do have to work tomorrow.
I started last week working in an Autistic preschool at a near by elementary school. I really like it. I think they like me, because they have asked me to sub all week. I am suppose to only work Thursday and Friday. I enjoy the opportunity to make some money.
Eric is finding out how fun it is to stay home with four kids. Do I feel bad for him? Not at all, sorry sweetie....ok maybe a little since I know how tough it can be. I just hear his little sob....I mean...um just stories about the day....like "t-rex unrolled a whole roll of toilet paper, and while I was cleaning that up, Bee climbed on top of the fridge and got out that very bright red nail polish you bought yesterday and painted herself, her clothes and the kitchen floor. And after we cleaned that up Two pooped her pants...." I just smile, nod and say "I'm sorry" and really I am thinking...."you see what my days are like...and throw in doing four loads of laundry, making calls and (actually I don't really ever make calls just sounded good in my head) loaded and un loaded the dishwasher, and......well you know"
Anyway I am grateful that he is willing to watch the kids and attempt to look for a job during the chaos of tending children. I love you Eric THANK YOU!!
Anyone want to earn a few extra dollars watching two kids in the afternoons, for a couple of hours???
Well I best get some sleep, even though that isn't likely all things considering. I know it will be ok....because I wrote about it and let it out in the air....its just going to be a fun little night spending ER trip.....where is T-Rex's birth certificate so we can get him on MEDICAID???

A Whole Lot of Stuff
Oh my goodness what a week!!!
- We moved!--not far just down the street to a neighbor's basement apartment. We miss my parents but hope they are enjoying the peace and quiet, and that my dad can heal very quickly...which he is doing well so far...not including his little decision to go down a flight of stairs outside in the freezing weather, down another flight of stairs to only be locked out. My niece thinks we live in the "coolest house ever!" I think it has to do with the fact that we have a lazy susan full of snacks :) and me and the kids of course and one of her friends from kindergarten lives above us.
- I took the Census 2010 worker test and passed with flying colors, scoring just a little higher than my husband. Not gloating at all....ok a little.
- T-Rex managed to pull all the keys off not one, but two of our laptops....well we only have two. There is no Y on the computer I am typing on and the space bar doesn't want to work.
- I totally had a nervous brake down, seriously, reason why I have been absent from the computer, nothing a little counseling and drugs can't fix....at least I hope.
- Now everyone one in our family, minus the dad and myself, have thrown up in a week time frame. At least they are spreading it out, as well as spreading those germs around really well....we have been sick a lot since moving to the cold.
- Two hasn't slept in my bed all week! I think she likes having her "own" room, she and Bee share and T-rex and G-man are sharing.
- I applied for a job a few weeks back, and they hired someone before I could get an interview, but the teacher spoke with me then. She called me yesterday and asked if I could come in and interview today. I did, and she hired me on the spot. I started next week. Just two days a week, but its grocery money.
- My favorite cousin got married yesterday and or the day before yesterday? what day is it? Anyway...time flies...I got to take pictures for them and they turned out pretty good. This is one of my favorites....

- And last but not least....sometime somewhere I signed up for guest bloggin, and I so can't remember, but I have the awesome opportunity to share with you a guest blogger. Christa over at the Domestic Goddess is living it up in Alaska, as she mothers her two adorable children. She moved around a bit as a child, with her dad in the army. ==On one of their moves she met her dear sweet heart husband. Her latest craze, besides purses, is the Wii fit, which by the way I am dying to get one....There is a whole group out there using this as their weight loss program, cheaper than a gym membership. Anyway head on over Christa and give her some blogging comment love!!! And keep on playing those video games!

Sweet Sweet Bee....
I don't know how many of you are familiar with Utah Valley but there used to be a factory called Geneva Steel. Anyway in its old place is still some kind of factory. My mom and Bee were driving to the store and she said "Look Nanny, there is one of those cloud making buildings."
Nanny says "Oh really?!"
"Yeah well that might not be an actual cloud making building and that could just be steam but there are cloud making buildings around."
Then the other morning before my dad had heart surgery, I began to fix her some lunch.
"How about some sausages (polish sausages/hot dogs) for lunch?" I asked.
Bee replied "are those the SAME sausages that made Papa sick?"
"Well yes but eat them."
Before Papa went to the hospital she asked him if she could see his scar after, he said no since it was going to be an upper thigh scar, originally. So later in the day she came up to me and asked "Well can I at least see Papa after he gets his clothes on?"
Now he is going to have a really cool scar to show her. She can't wait to see him back home. Neither can we.
And yesterday morning as I was getting the kids fed and ready for the day, I looked over and T-Rex was sitting in his high chair.
Puzzled I asked "Now how did you get in your high chair?"
Two looked over and said "It's Magic."

When it Rains It Pours!
Things are a little to say the least crazy around here. I could use some prayers, as well as if y'all could send prayers my dad's way.
I got this email from my brother, of course after I had already received the call from my mom, but I was surprised at the different response of my brother and I.
Here's his email:
As you are aware, Dad is going in for a quadruple bypass in the morning. He is at the hospital now and will not be coming home for a week.
I am going to start a fast for him. I think it would be nice if we could keep him in our prayers. The Dr. said that someone in his condition is never as mobile as he has been.
I was with him last week when he passed with flying colors an EKG. Then yesterday he did well on a stress test but the Dr. to make sure did another test which showed blockage in four (maybe 5) arteries. The heart is in good shape, but the arteries supplying blood are nearly all blocked.
I am going to start a fast for him. I think it would be nice if we could keep him in our prayers. The Dr. said that someone in his condition is never as mobile as he has been.

As my brother was thinking of fasting and praying for my dad, which I have said several prayers, I had a totally different response which my response was:
First really uncontrollable tears....I mean my dad is having open heart surgery! That is serious stuff....
then second...I made chocolate chip cookies...(my emotional bandaid) ....
then third I thought about the fact that I have a pretty darn not so good heart....and I really have to do something to take care of it.
When I went to visit my dad in the hospital today, he was just going in for a possible stint, artery check, and now won't be out for at least a week, but the doctor said their appears to be congenital damage as well. Which has me with the not so great heart even more concerned....anyway this is not about me.
Then fourth, I felt guilty for writing about my wonderings about heart failure, its like I opened up the ironic skies!

Over at Two of Kind working on a full House she does a Totally Talented Tuesday! And I have been watching silently but had to post because I am married to a very talented guy. Give him a pantry and he will cook you up a feast fit for kings. Valentine's Day was no different this year, except that he added to is talent by buying me some really cool plates as well! Look at this, doesn't it just look delicious? It was!!!

And Y'all Can Play at any TIME!
Do you ever remember hearing the smallest record player (or insert favorite musical instrument here) playing my heart bleeds for you? You know the one little tiny instrument that fits between your pointer and thumb and is played by rubbing the fingers around together? Yeah that one. Go ahead an play it at any point during this post because I will tell you what I might need some cheese with my whine, as well as some great back ground music.
I think if I haven't yet, I am about to lose my mind. Give me a few hours of sleep, and I think I do ok, take away my sleep and I am not fun to be around at all. And not like the little monsters I live with are any fun after little sleep either, but they seem to rebound better.
Saturday night, Bee woke up at about midnight and crawled into our bed, to only roll over and throw up all over our bed and Eric. (yeah for me) After changing our sheets, and bathing her, we decided to make her a bed in the tub. She actually was excited about it, but woke up about every 30 minutes to throw up again. It was a miserable night to say the least.
At least Sunday Eric took the other three to church and then to visit cousins, so it was actually a pleasant day with just Bee.
But then they all came home, we fed them dinner. And life became crazy again. My poor parents, I think we are about to drive them to a nut house, if we haven't already turned their quiet sanctuary into a total mental institution. I think everything my kids do is triple obnoxious because I know there are two other adults that are being driven crazy which compounds my own stress level. (go ahead rub your fingers together....)
We tried to confine the kiddos to our room and oh my gosh they were just crazy. So I went into their room to read. Then they joined me and I was like done. All of you! Off with your heads...I mean off to bed.
So we got them down for the most part with only a little kicking and screaming. But the quiet only lasted but a few minutes, and then crying and screaming started. What the heck! What does a mom have to do to get some sleep around here.
About now I am sure your fingers are sore from rubbing them.
Then T-Rex woke up screaming at about 9:30 (only been asleep for about 30 minutes myself), I quieted him and then put him back to sleep.
Only to be followed out of the room by a screaming crying TWO an hour or so later. Got her to sleep on our floor and then I finally fell back to sleep. But that didn't last when T-Rex started screaming again at 1:30. I went in to try to get him to lay down when fowl scents filled my nostrils. He had the runs.
I picked him up and could feel it in his pj legs. So after changing him and redressing him, he would have nothing to do with his crib, so I put him in my bed. He slept fine until about three when I put him back in his crib, to only have him wake up screaming again at 4 and I put him in bed with me again. To only have his sister TWo climb in our bed at a quarter to five, waking him up and he would no longer sleep.
So Eric took the screaming duo up stairs to see if some warm milk could help them go back to sleep. Lets just say its 8:22 and no one is sleeping. Though Two did crawl back in bed with me for a bit, and we fell asleep until a little before six when I heard T-Rex belting at the top of his lungs...anyway
I took him for a walk and he slept most of the way.
Now how to survive the rest of the day??? Actually the rest of the week? The rest of my uncertain life??
Yeah you see, to top off no sleep, and crying kids and loud noises and not being in our own home, stressing about keeping peace and quiet and order...
Still no job yet.

did you ever wonder why?
did you ever wonder why there are no "fun" candy filled, tasty food holidays during the warm months when you can actually go out side and exercise and burn off those fun treats??
I mean really have you thought about it? Starting with Halloween (end of October as if you didn't know the date) until Easter (mid April) there is almost a holiday each month that shoves food down your throat...well it doesn't shove it down your throat but it is there yelling to you to come eat it. And you begin to make the treats and there is candy on your shelf for those six straight months. And then bam. No more fun treats and candies.
Why?? Is it a crazed marketing tool, to fatten you up during the cold, dark and dreary months, to only succor you into the diet craze for the next six months?

Why isn't there any fun candy backing holidays during those other months?? I mean yeah you have your bbq's on Memorial, Independence and Labor day, but why not have flag Peeps, or fun little star shaped sweettarts? Or Red, White and Blue candy corn?

Did you ever wonder who in their right mind would see a movie before reading a book, and who would be crazy enough to never read the Twilight Series, and Harry Potter books for that matter? Yeah that's right. Me!

I saw Twilight tonight and cheesy and well give Edward a laxative or something, but really liked it and really want to read the books now. I am so glad I didn't read the books because it would have TOTALLY ruined the movie. :)

Did you ever wonder why you can remember commercials from your early childhood, but can't remember what you did yesterday?
I mean really have you thought about it? Holy Moly--400th POST
I know holy moly guacamole! wipe the green off your face...the green of envy that is! Pull up a chair, grab some chips and dip in! Cuz ladies...are there any gentlemen that read my blog?...you are in for a real treat.
Actually I have been in hiding for almost a week...did you notice? did you miss me? Well I have been stewing over this post. I even thought about going back and highlighting some of my favorite posts...I might....but life has been crazy, and to be totally honest, between sick kids, hub with no job, being with out my own things and place had sent me into a down spiraling spin, and heaven knows you all come around to get a good laugh and not a good cry, though probably some days a good cry does us well.
So as part of my 400th post I thought I would include forty things about me, I thought about doing 400 and then realized y'all would be bored around ten, so I narrowed it down a bit. Believe me you, I could do 400...oh is that a challenge??
On to the 40 things:
Actually I have been in hiding for almost a week...did you notice? did you miss me? Well I have been stewing over this post. I even thought about going back and highlighting some of my favorite posts...I might....but life has been crazy, and to be totally honest, between sick kids, hub with no job, being with out my own things and place had sent me into a down spiraling spin, and heaven knows you all come around to get a good laugh and not a good cry, though probably some days a good cry does us well.
So as part of my 400th post I thought I would include forty things about me, I thought about doing 400 and then realized y'all would be bored around ten, so I narrowed it down a bit. Believe me you, I could do 400...oh is that a challenge??
On to the 40 things:
- I don't like to do laundry, so I put as much of whatever can possibly fit in the washing machine, put it on cold and hope the clothes come clean. Kids and spots and stains don't do well in my house....I never get the clothes looking great, but at least my dryer sheets make them smell good.
- Speaking of laundry, I can't stand folding and putting the laundry away.
- I have lived in three different states in less than a year! that would be this year....well 2008 2009 and have driven over 3000 miles in a month and a half (straight driving) not calculating the day to day stuff, though I haven't been driving much.
- I love road trips as long as I don't have crying children around.
- Potty training is for the birds, as well as changing diapers and anything having to do with bodily functions.
- I ignore the cries from the bathroom "come wipe my bottom" for about two minutes, hold my breath and then head in.
- Some people think picking your nose is gross and I am not one of them.
- I have always thought I was pretty darn cool because I have an older sister, an older brother and a younger sister and a younger brother, not many people can say that. I guess it is my way of looking at the glass half full on being the middle child.
- I think being the middle child has actually helped me to find a place among people anywhere. Or maybe it is just my sparkling personality.
- I have never thought of ten as a real number. It really is only a one and a zero. Really are there really more numbers than just 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, I mean you don't find a ten on a keyboard.
- As a child my dad would take us to seven eleven to get slurpees and I would always no fail get brain freeze.
- When I was twelve I got straight A's in six grade and my dad told me if I kept up that A average until my sophomore year of high school he would buy me a convertible cabriolet (rabbit Volkswagen). Ummm yeah didn't even do that my first semester of seventh grade.
- Thirteen years ago I turned 22 on my mission in Brazil. And the sweetest family, that lived in a 10x10 hut they made out of sticks and mud from the near by river...no really...made me a bunt cake on their camping stove and invited several neighbors over and threw me a surprise birthday party. One of the best birthday's ever.
- When I was 14 I went to Belgium as an "exchange student" it was only for a few weeks in the summer. I cried every night by myself, until I fell asleep. Though I had a wonderful time on the trip and saw some really amazing things and became really good friends with Shala. I changed a lot that summer for the better.
- I am not sure if many people liked me from the time I was ten until 14. I had some friends, but I sure didn't like myself much then, and really felt like my mom didn't like me much either. The summer I went to Belgium for some reason I realized what a great person I am, and that my parents, especially my mom, really did love me and liked me too.
- I thought that when I turned sixteen---in our family you couldn't date until then...my kids its going to be 18 :)...I thought boys would be lined up to ask me out. I don't think any guys ever liked me in high school.
- I had a bunch of crushes in high school but never really was boy crazy, ok who am I kidding...I could name a few boys I really liked and really wanted to go out with and a few that did go out with me, but over all I focused my time on friends, family, swimming and other activities...and didn't worry too much about boys.
- It took me until really late in life to think I was pretty and still question that a lot, but like myself and am comfortable in my skin, other than the few well forty pounds I need to take off.
- I joined weight watchers last year, and failed miserably,,,,since I am about ten pounds heavier than when I started last year,,,yikes!
- Weight is a huge issue in my family, I remember as a child going over to my grandfathers and him asking me how much I weighed now, and would pull out a scale to have me weigh. Weight was the first question asked after how are you doing!! I remember going on my first diet at 9.
- I fear I will instill weight fears and issues into my own kids.
- I love to swim. I could spend hours on end in the swimming pool.
- I love to go under the water and open my eyes and look up at the sky.
- I don't plug my nose with my hands, but with my own lips when I do somersaults so I am hands free.
- Sometimes I suck my lip up too close to my nose and then can't release it and feel like I am going to drowned myself.
- I get funky little toe cramps in my second toes when I do the frog kick with my breast stroke.
- I told my coach in high school I had bad knees so I wouldn't have to swim the breast stroke, one because of the toe thing and two I couldn't hardly move anywhere doing that stroke and I felt silly having others pass me as I basically treaded in the water.
- When speaking to others about things, I rarely ever lie and really can't lie very well and that was one of the biggest lies ever.
- Other than the one where I went cruising on the El Camino Real with Carmel, Kate, and Kristy and April and road on some guy's motorcycle and burnt my leg getting off the exhaust pipe. I told my mom I burnt it on the stove door....wonder if she believed that.
- I was driving once with my radio on, about a month or so after getting my licence and my mom tried to get my attention by honking and stuff...she thought it took me forever to pull over so she grounded me from my music in the car for the next month, and I didn't play any music for that full month.
- Jen C and I used to drive around for hours in my little sky blue Volkswagen bug listening to love sappy music.
- I had a blast in high school with my friends and having them come over and hang out in the hot tub and talk and LAUGH for hours.
- As an adult I miss hanging out with girls and just laughing and talking. Kids take up way too much time, not that its a bad thing, just different time of life.
- I have no idea what my kids are doing right now, but they are giggling!
- I miss owning our own home. I loved our first home in Del Valle, I loved the friends I made there and the hanging out and just talking. I wished we had done more adult alone things and I really wish we had put in a hot tub for girls night outs.
- I miss HAWAII! I love being here near family but I really miss being outside every day and going for walks and swimming and the beach and the friends I made there.
- I have loved living everywhere I have lived. I think one of my favorite places was Los Gatos, CA I really loved high school. I loved college. And even though I haven't posted many college memories, for some reason my mind has pulled further back than that.
- I had some crazy and wonderful roommates. I keep in touch with a few of them.
- I often wonder where people from my past are and what they are doing and wonder what they have become. I really love facebook for that reason.
- In my writing classes I was told never to start your sentences with I and avoid using to be verbs...but I have a hard time with both those rules....maybe that is why I am not published.
SideNOTE: will be doing a drawing for the pay it forward later this week, when things calm down so if you still want to enter go for it!
