Believe me we love pizza and the idea of saving some money on a dinner for the kids is always welcome. But I have issues with this, in more ways than one. I just don't like the whole idea of read, or do something good and here you go eat something to reward yourself. It just seems to breed an unhealthy relationship.Is it possible for book reading rewards to be related to reading books??? Where are Barnes and Noble, and Borders and Scholastic Books? Can't they set up a reward system of getting a free book? Or even a book mark? How about a pencil and pad of paper to write your own stories? I think I have found a new cause?
I just have my own personal unhealthy relationship with food. It is a reward, a friend, a bandaid, a party, a whole mess of other things instead of something to just sustain my living, you know what I mean?
Anyway....just a little food for thought! Come on people please lets make rewards other than food. Too bad, just finishing reading a book isn't reward enough!

Amen to that! Although at the same time, I'm a firm believer in bribery for good behavior. Guess you can't win them all...
By the way, I am LOVING the school pictures! Way too cute! If there are some to spare we would love some for the girls' wall!
Hey, how do you think you got that way? Probably somewhere in your past you read a book and got a treat! Or made your bed, obeyed your Mom, etc...The one that gets me is Hallowe'en, the ultimate Beg-and-Give-Me-Candy-or-I'll-Get-Revenge-On-You holiday. What is THAT all about?!? Dina

I agree! We never seem to get to the restaurants anyway as we don't have the mula for everyone else!! Love the pics and your blog page! I woke up this morning thnking about you and wondering how you are! I won't call this early... but will call to cat soon!
i wholeheartedly agree with you on this. i hate that food is always the reward!
Our library did something last year that was awesome. For every 100 pages you read you got to pick out a free book. You could have read them yourself or else you could read to your kids. They did it over a three month period. I thought it was very cool
